Hey, Dog.

Just don't provoke him.

[She'll dig a steak wrapped in butcher paper out of a bag, unwrap it and set it on a plate on the floor. Dog immediately lunges at it and tears into it like a hungry wolf.]
no subject
Shit. I hope he's well trained.

[She's going to start washing some mushrooms.]

[And speaking of appetite, his stomach rumbles loudly at just that moment. Feeling a little faint, he helps himself to one of the kitchen chairs, then starts playing idly with his lighter.]
So. What's for lunch?
no subject
[As evidenced by the various different kinds she's starting to chop.]
no subject
[Flick, open. Flick, closed.]
no subject
[That's all she's saying, though she is glancing over at him when that incessant clicking starts getting irritating.]

Why do you keep messing with that thing?
no subject
[At that his expression sours, and he jams the lighter back into the pocket of his fleece jacket, which has a patch with a logo much like this on the arm. It'll be a long time before he stops being pissed off about the loss of his powers, and even longer before he accepts that they're gone for as long as he's here.]
no subject
[She raises an eyebrow, noticing the patch after a moment. Huh, is that supposed to be a school?]
no subject
[Eurgh, it actually physically hurts not to be able to pull out his lighter and play with a handful of flame. It's been a part of him for so long, this feels like losing a limb.]
no subject
[The mushrooms and some crushed garlic which goes into a skillet and on an ancient-looking stove.]
no subject
Never heard of telekinesis? Moving things with your mind? It's like that, but with fire. I can make it do whatever I want.
[Could. No. He won't say it. He's not giving up.]
no subject
Then come over here and be useful.
no subject
I can't do it anymore, okay? Not since I got here. That's why I'm just a bit on edge.
no subject
[She's snapping that back at him before grabbing a book of matches. Oldschool over here.]
no subject
[His stare at those matches is almost longing, but then he pulls himself back together and crosses his arms over his chest, tipping slightly onto the back legs of the chair.]
no subject
[Might as well be blunt. She'll get a flame going on the match, then toss it into the wood chamber.]
