Hey, I totally could! Arthur's been training me you know!

Arthur, huh? Training you on what?

Sword fighting! He's really good in his world. I think he's a prince? I usually go once or twice a week.

[arches an eyebrow. Roxas has always been rather intuitive with the keyblade, but if he can't use it here, there's probably no harm in trying to keep up with his skills. Sort of.]

Well I guess someone's gotta keep you out of trouble.

Hey! I can look after myself you know. I've been here for almost four months now!

[that makes him stop.]

Four months? How-

[-is that even possible? Okay, so the letter thing said that they were stuck, but still.]

Oh...right, sorry. [ He'll wriggle his way out of Axel's hold so he can stand and address him properly ]

I dunno why, but people from all sorts of times and places come here. A lot of the people from ours are from a time where I'm, um... [ Gone? Inside Sora? ] Not in Twilight Town anymore.

[lets him go, resting one hand on his hip as he listens. So, that explains...quite a bit, actually. Still, he needs to figure out exactly what Roxas knows and remembers just in case he can spare him some things that he doesn't need to know...at least not yet.]

I'm a Nobody, right? I had to go back eventually... [ He's got a sad, almost guilty sort of smile on his face when he says it though. Sora was honest with him about the whole ordeal--but he also told him he was his own person no matter what, and that had meant a lot. ]

[his hand comes up halfway, stops, and he curls it into a fist before dropping it back to his side. Roxas had to go back for Sora's memories, to wake up Sora, not necessarily because he couldn't exist on his own or that he didn't have a heart. Roxas did have his own heart, and Lea still believes he could be separated from Sora without harm to either of them. It's just actually doing it is the tricky bit.]

...Sora and Riku said the same thing. But Namine... [ Is still pretty convinced Nobodies don't have Hearts. Roxas' confidence on the subject continues to flip-flop. ]

I wanted to decide for myself that I could really feel. Do you think it's possible for Nobodies, without going back...?

[thinks back to waking up in the lab not all that long ago with the other first several members of the Organization, discovering they'd all become human again. A moment passes and he realizes he's touching his own face where those marks had been. Marks of sin, he'd always thought. Now washed away...]

Yeah. I do.

[actually, he's pretty sure Roxas had his own heart all along.]

[ There are no words to express the amount of relief Roxas feels when Axel says that. He doesn't remember a lot, but he knows he looked up to Axel and trusted him and they'd been friends--and that had carried over after their rocky start in Asgard. Hearing Access' (???'s) approval is one thing, but hearing Axel's, a fellow Nobody (so be believes) is another entirely.

He just winds up looking a mix of surprised and thrilled and hesitant all at once, rubbing under his nose with one finger. ]

[watches Roxas carefully for a few moments, and he can only wonder exactly what he might be thinking. He should probably try getting Roxas to understand again - he's not actually Axel anymore, not a "nobody" anymore because he's regained his heart. Or, perhaps, it's a new one - he hasn't really figured out which, yet. Still, he's pretty sure that with Roxas' strong connection to Sora that Roxas has pretty much always had one, or at least has the capacity to obtain his own. Roxas will find out eventually that he's actually Lea, now, not Axel, but he's still hesitating a little until he can puzzle out a few more things.

After waiting a few moments, he leans down a bit, not quite touching him.]

You okay?

Y, yeah...sorry. It's been a weird few weeks since you left. [ And the last thing he wants to do now is worry Axel, emotions or not. He's not sure what happened to change his opinion of Nobodies, but it means a lot. A lot. He's not about to question it at the moment. ]

Since I left?

[well that's a little worrying. He doesn't have any recollection of ever being here - part of him wants to think that if he escaped, there's no way he'd ever willingly let himself get caught again. But then again, the reason why he ever would come back on his own is standing right in front of him.]

Do you remember anything at all from last time...? [ And he's really hoping he does and that Axel's genuinely alright with everything between them, that he really thinks it's possible to have a Heart. ]

[he's silent for a long time, watching Roxas and thinking he can see the hope in his face...

but he has to turn away, shaking his head.]

No, I don't. [he pauses, shifts his stance and runs a hand through his hair.] I think some time has passed for me, too, since I was last here.

Oh... [ There's definite disappointment, but some relief too. Seems Axel's future continues on after his stops with Sora's--that's good to know. ] How much time?

[shrugs elegantly, almost like he doesn't care.]

Not much. [but enough. Enough to change his view of some things.]

Oh... [ That's...anticlimactic? He's not sure what he was expecting, really. ]

[considers Roxas a moment. It doesn't necessarily take a lot of time for a lot of things to happen. A lot has happened, but not in a lot of time. The world was funny like that.

But it seemed like a change in topic was due.]

Soo...[he glances around. Nope, not much to this place.] What've you been doing for four months stuck in this drab and dreary place?

Not...a lot. [ Went on an adventure, had a gf, broke up with gf, got killed, got stabbed, defeated Vanitas in a battle, caused a bunch of NPCs to fawn over him by accident, found out he had a Dataself, found out Sora was his Nobody MET VEN AND WAS V CONFUSED, spoke to some gods...
