[When arriving in a strange new world, the priority is, of course, to find out where the local boozers and liquor stores are first. It's of course a bit more meaningful than that in actuality, but as it so often is for Yuuko, her whimsical side is a nice way to hide her true intentions.

Plus, knowing where those things are is always good. It's a win-win situation.

As such, Yuuko is sitting on the front porch of the Loki household, drinking wine and holding a fan in one hand to keep away the slight heat. She is very sensitive to heat, ok??? Still, she has a very cheerful and inviting air about her, and will call out to any fellow Traveler]

Ahh~♥ It's too nice of a day to be walking around and working in the sun... It's a time to celebrate! It's not every day that you have the good fortune of ending up in a new world. Besides, it's bad luck to drink alone. Come, come, share a glass with me!

[Quietly, and with a slightly whiny tone,] Still, I wish Watanuki-kun had come too... Some of his snacks would be great right now...

[clockeyes]

[Don't mind the guy with clocks for eyes just stopping and tilting his head at your greeting, Yuuko, it's not often when someone just goes and invites him for a drink without even knowing him.]

...You're talking to me?

[granter]

Of course!

[Yuuko beams, giving a little wave. She was especially interested in the person walking by, since those eyes certainly interest her. A spirit, perhaps? She certainly had never seen a zorigami that looked quite so human.

The beaming smile turns cool, and it matches her voice.] I've just arrived, but there's no better way to meet people than over drinks.

[clockeyes]

Um. [Hmmm, that actually sounds logical! Cheriour will bite.] Alright, I guess that's true. Though alcohol doesn't always need to be involved, really...

[He approaches slowly.] You just arrived, miss?

[granter]

It may not need to be, but it certainly makes it more fun! That's just as important, isn't it?

[She beams, motioning to the open wicker chair at her side. She picks up the other glass, starting to pour one for him (as well as topping off her own glass!)]

It's a shinshū wine, from the Nagato prefecture, according to the liquor store's owner. It's a very good one!

[Yuuko sets the bottle down, offering the glass] Three hours ago, I would say. But the three hours have been very hospitable so far.

[clockeyes]

[He nods at her gesture and goes and takes the seat, leaning forward slightly as he stares at her with those strange eyes of his, before focusing on the glass being offered to him.]

Is it? [He takes it, swirling it a bit just to see how the liquid falls up and down the sides of the glass.]

Only three hours? Wow, that's very new! Welcome to Asgard, miss. There are a lot like you here, though some of us have been here longer than others.

[granter]

Ah, is that so? It seems my assumption was a bit off, in that case! I had thought that those of us with consciousness had brought here at the same time. It's the traditional way to do it.

[She takes a sip of her wine, digesting this new information. It certainly makes the gods a more likely possibility than the worst case scenario she had come up with. Even Clow would have been stressed to bring quite this many people as separate acts. This information calms her worries, yet raises quite a few questions that she'll have to seek out the answers to.]

What are you, some kind of lush?

[Listen lady, he has better things to do than to hang out with you, Yuuko.

You have one of his weaknesses anyway.]

[granter]

[She laughs cheerfully]

Oh, your tone there makes it sound like a bad thing! It's alright, though, children can't understand the joys of alcohol until they grow up a little. [♥]

I'm not a kid!

[HE'S PRO... okay, Yuuko is like one of a very few characters in Asgard who might be legitimately older than he is.]

[granter]

Oho, would this happen to be a case where appearances are deceiving?

[She chuckles, her smile becoming more mischievous] How unfortunate, in that case! Are you forever stuck looking this way? You'll never get into a bar looking like that!

don't kill me?

[bottomlesspit]

[There is an odd woman offering liquor. Does she not know the meaning of Stranger Danger?]

I'm sorry but I'm still underage.

[granter]

[She laughs, waving her hand dismissively]

Ahh, you're really concerned about that? Do you think there's even a law for a drinking age here...? What a downer!

Am I doing ok?

[bottomlesspit]

I'm not a downer! Really!

[She's not really! Saya just doesn't know where that drink's been-that's all!]

Then does it matter? Or maybe it's that you're concerned about something other than a drinking age, isn't that right?

[Yuuko motions toward the other chair at her side with a kind smile] Drink or no, why don't you join me? There's something bitterly depressing about drinking without company, after all.

Sorry, I'm really nervous.

[bottomlesspit]

I am concerned about something else.

[Blurting that out in front of a stranger? Could she know her from her previous life...the life she can't seem to remember? She seemed nice enough so Saya took the seat with gratitude.]

Do you think these people made a mistake?

[I don't know why Kurogane is in the Loki district but whatever, here he is. Staring at Yuuko.]

... What the hell are you doing here?

[granter]

Oh, Kurogane, what a surprise!

[She raises her hand with a small wave and a laugh, but then the cheerful smile falls to the cool enigma of a smile that he's more used to seeing. After all, she is surprised to see him here. Does that mean that the others are here too? The unexpected occurrences she's meeting here are just growing by the minute, and honestly, they unsettle her. But that's not something for her to show.]

I'm just visiting. Or maybe I've been brought here for the same purpose as you. It's a mystery, isn't it? [She chuckles] Whichever it is, our meeting now is fated. And admittedly, a bit earlier than I had anticipated.

[fatherdear]

[Pretty damn surprised to see her too and not all that happy about it. Because for one thing, ugh, the witch. For another, just how powerful are these guys?

But she's a familiar face, at least, and not one that evokes all those worries and concerns all the others do. Stupid different time points making everything even more complicated than they already were.]

Wasn't planning on going back to that shop any time soon. You can't get out of this place? [Not much for eloquent chit chat, Yuuko, sorry.]

[ Don't ask why he's in Loki he just got really lost or something ok. He pauses when he sees her, giving a skeptical look. ]

The good fortune?

[granter]

The great fortune.

[She corrects him (and, herself, in a way) gently, then offering a friendly grin] After all, isn't it exciting to end up in a new place entirely? There's so much to discover in a new world, and so many people to meet! It's a very rare opportunity!

[ There's a pause as he seems to be seriously considering her questions. ]

...Whatever.

[ Or. Maybe not. Apparently the urge to killjoy was too strong. ]

Aren't you worried about getting back to your own place?

[ Not normally the first thing he'd ask, honestly, but he was kind of seconds away from seeing a great deal of treasure he crossed like half the galaxy for before the gods decided to pull him here. ]

[granter]

I have my worries. Returning to the world from whence I came is minor amongst them.

[She gives a cool smile, because it's honest, but very vague. Returning to her world is important, yet also completely irrelevant. There are so many dimensions, so many ways to manipulate time, that she can't imagine it truly mattering. There's no basis, but she's sure that the time of her world has stopped without her, since it's certainly within the power of gods to do so.

Yuuko closes her eyes, wishing that she had her pipe so that she could languidly smoke and drink, but, ah, well. We all make compromises.]

Also, it's just intuition, but I do not feel as if we will be stuck here forever. Our individual worlds are certainly waiting for us to return! Well, if you believe the message of our letter, that is.

[ He's not so convinced. It seems like a great thing to say to convince someone to listen and help you, in any case, and the thought of another betrayal is enough to make him warier. ]

Hmm? A celebration does sound quite fun. [ And it is physically impossible for him to deny alcohol. ]
