also lmao no i suppose it isn't THAT difficult to figure out when you know what to look for, it's just that it's a death sentence for john in his own time and having seen men hang for it, he isn't exactly jumping to out himself here even though theoretically the laws here are different.......

She would probably be a bit shocked but not necessarily put off completely by it. The only thing she would ask of Jim moving forward is that if he wants to be a relationship with her, he has to be with her only.
