Character Played: Mary Crawley
God House: Tyr
About Your Character: Mary is the oldest daughter of the Earl of Grantham, from the small town of Downton in Yorkshire, 1924. She lives on her family's estate, where she helps to manage the farms on her family's land. Mary's also a widow with a 3-year-old son back home. Being a typical member of the aristocracy, she's a bit stuck up and cold, but tries to at least be friendly to everyone unless they give her a reason not to be. She likes horseback riding, fine things and flirting with handsome men. Mary can be incredibly stubborn, but also clever, and she likes to be right.
Wanted CR: Open to anything, but particularly:
- Historical characters
- Nobility characters
- Anyone who won't make her feel like she's an antique being from 1924
Future Plans:
- Continue running the farms with Jim in Sigyn's district
- More work with her powers that I constantly forget she has.
- Moving in with Jim (gasp!) to a house in the farmlands, once he gets that shit built.
- The event will have her with the word "mean" on her shoulder. It's semi-hidden, but I can put her in a dress or something that reveals it.
- She definitely wants to be one of Tyr's diplomats! That's a side of her I've wanted to explore for a while and I'm glad that it's hopefully coming to fruition finally.

Also, Rhys will prob join the diplomats as well! I wish I had anything more concrete to bring here but mostly I just wanted to say that I've enjoyed all our threads and look forward to more CR. I'm completely canon blind but Mary is a delight.

I enjoy their CR as well and definitely look forward to more with them. Hopefully there will be diplomat stuff for them to do in the future.

Hi! I'm bringing this jerk in, who is a late 19th Century butler, meaning he's both even more ancient than her and, while not nobility, certainly used to being around nobility and treating them accordingly?

He's also secretly mean, so there's that, too.

Oh God, Mary will probably love him. She misses her own butler so much. Can she hire him?? She probably has no money to pay him with though, sorry to say.

Really, Sebastian's favourite thing in the world is being a butler, he loathes being idle, and he couldn't care less about money. Unless he somehow ends up thinking Mary is the worst he'll probably be happy to work for her for free. Pls give him stuff to do.

FWIW, the Crawley family is shown treating their servants very respectfully and she will want to give Sebastian some kind of compensation for his work. Maybe food from the farm or something like that.

87 years later: he'll probably eventually see the necessity in accepting some kind of payment, since now he'll need to do silly things like eat regularly.
