How does it end?

The 'How does it end?' Meme
We all know that eventually, Asgard will come to an end. The travelers will either win or lose the war and will go home or be obliterated as the universes explode into a fiery pit of despair. So, this is your chance to figure out what your idea endgame would be. Or just maybe think of some incredibly cracky finale that you might not get the chance to play out in game.
- Post your character
- You can either put in that you'd prefer a Happy Ending or a Tragic Ending, or you can leave it blank and let the people tagging in pick the ending type
- That's it. Tag around. Play out the happy endings where good wins and you can go home, or try to sneak someone home with you/sneak into their universe. Maybe you want to wind up bowing to the forces of NOT GOOD and staying and serving the giants, or floating along in the depths of the nothing the universes have become.
- It's up to you, but remember, this is game over. Have fun playing out the results.

Put limits? But why? He doesn't understand at all.
No sleeping. Got it. [He shakes his head, trying to shake off being tired. Even without the air being so sleepy, that last battle had been long and hard.] Does this air mean we're getting close?
You are so strong, Varda says gently, and you don't even know it - in your own world you are one
I am not sure [ Maglor reaches back to grip Kevin's hand, fighting to stay awake ] but I suspect so. Hold tightly, for I fear if we are parted here it will be forever.
[ the green grows bright - like sunlight through the leaves ]
Kevin stares at her. He could do that? By accident? Then he doesn't want those powers.
[Kevin holds as tight as he can to Maglor's hand. He doesn't want to end up alone here.] I won't let go.
[He sees an opening in the leaves.] What's that?
Such a brave soul, says Varda with a smile. You chose wisely, Makalaure
Ah, I think that might be our exit. [ Maglor smiles and squeezes Kevin's hand ] Let us hope it takes us where we want to go, eh?
[ makes random joke about walking into the light ]
Kevin wants to know if it will hurt when they take those powers.
[He smiles. Almost there.] And then we can sleep, right?
[Lol. And I just realized that the closest I know to a Quenya equivalent to Kevin is Maitimo. *dies*]
It was done when you offered it, freely. Manwe tells him. Well done.
Aye, and then we can rest. [ Maglor smiles back and then tugs them both through the gap and the light engulfs them ]
[ lol you have a type? And so does Maglor, apparently ]
Kevin stares at him. I didn't feel anything.
[Apparently, I do. Handsome bad boys with a conscience.]
Varda laughs gently but makes no move to touch him (she obviously wants to, though) We cannot take
[ they step out of the light into a strangely deserted street - the walls and terraces are white, and the sand in the streets glitters like diamonds. In the center of the city rises a white tower, tall and fair, and Maglor goes pale with shock ]
This ... this is impossible! This is Tirion! But I am forbidden...
[ Where there was no one, there is suddenly a figure tall and lordly and Maglor instinctively puts himself between Kevin and the stranger even as he bows ]
L-Lord Manwe!
( and then the brackets thing happens? )
Horses? Now he's a little worried again.
Maglor?
(Yes!)
no subject
No need for fear yonya, we'll go slow, and I am sure Lord Manwe will have taken into account your ability.
[ the Valar are gone, and tugging Kevin along Maglor takes another step, and the world changes around them. Gone are the white walls of Tirion, the grass is green and the sky blue, and they are at the edges of a great forest. There are, as promised two horses there as well. ]
Well! He also, apparently, took heed of your wish to visit Fangorn!

[He looks around them. He's never seen anywhere like this, never been to a forest before.] This is where those ents live?

[ Maglor breathes deep - the Song of the lands around him is welcoming and familiar - he is home. He whistles and both of the horses come cantering gaily over, the smaller palfrey coming right up to Kevin if not for Maglor catching her by the reins. The other, a tall stallion, promptly investigates Maglor to see if he has snacks ]
Here now lady, not so fast. Gently, gently. And you, sir, can wait your turn. [ he beckons Kevin closer so they can meet and pushes the insistent head of his own stallion away ] She will have no name yet, that will be for you to decide. See here - [ he points out the bits of her tack and saddle and how they work which I don't know so just pretend ]
no subject
[He listens carefully to Maglor's instructions. It doesn't sound too hard.] What should I call her? [He doesn't know how to pick a name for anything.]
also there is a Finrod just below us on the Middle Earth post!
[ there are helpfully supplies in the panniers and bags attached to both, which makes Maglor breathe a little in relief - he can hunt, but he's rather out of practice, and he'd rather not be doing any hunting in Fangorn without it's guardian's permission ]
Come, we'll set up camp here on the forest eaves before it gets full dark. No torches here, I'm afraid, and we'll be sleeping under the stars for the next few nights. [ or Kevin will, at any rate. Maglor plans to stay up on guard - not all the evil things have been driven away, and there's wild animals to think of. Fortunately, now he's an elf again he has all his usual abilities back, including the one where he can weave waking dream for resting ] Tomorrow, we can venture in and see if we can find Treebeard.
Findarato! :-)
[He moves away from her head.] I never named anything before.
She won't eat my clothes while I'm sleeping, will she? [He's actually a little excited at the idea of sleeping outside. He never got to go camping before.]
no subject
Well, you'll have time - you might want to get to know her before you name her, eh? [ Maglor laughs, even as he starts pulling out supplies for a quick supper and showing Kevin how the bedrolls work ]
No, she's only looking to see if you have treats. There is plenty of grass for them both here, and see, there is grain for a good supper for them as well. Now, we'll need to find fresh water, and enough wood for a fire. There is a stream not too far into the woods, if I remember, come, and we can collect wood on the way.
no subject
Yeah, I might want to.
Do we have a bucket? [And how will they carry the water if they don't?]
no subject
Aye, here [ he hands Kevin the small pail ] - and drinking skins as well. Good! Now have a care - Fangorn is old, and not all trees in the forest are trees! Pick no branch that is not on the ground.
no subject
Because of the tree people. [He's done enough hurting people. He doesn't want to do it again by accident.]
no subject
Even so! [ Maglor nods, even as he leads them into the forest. It has been a while, so he is listening for the sound of water, as much as anything - he doesn't trust his direction sense in here ]
\
[He follows the elf closely. The forest seems like it'd be easy to get lost in. He hears a rippling noise not far away.] What's that?

[ pausing, he tips his head to listen then smiles ] Well done, that sounds like our stream!
no subject
That's what they sound like? [It's pretty. He wouldn't mind listening to it all the time.]
no subject
It is when they are small and cheerful, before they flow into the great rivers or still ponds. [ Maglor says cheerfully, as he pushes aside the branches to show the small fast flowing stream they have found ]
