TEST DRIVE MEME #3

REVENGE OF THE DRIVE

Third season time for the Asgard Eventide Test Drive Meme!

Your mission, if you choose to accept it:
Step 1: Post with the character and journal you're wanting to play. You're more than welcome to leave the message blank or have a fun little scenario going on. Like fighting that dragon thing or other Assgard shenanigans.
Step 2: Other people respond to your post with new or existing muses! A budding romance! Hilarity! Fluff! A sudden attack! The choice is yours to make!
Step 3: PROFIT!
Step 4: Spread the word! Bring a friend! Make a random announcement on D_M! Get this post to crack the hundreds! It doesn't matter if you end up apping or not! This is a place of fun and meeting new people before the waiting!

GO FORTH AND KNOW ME BETTER MAN!

[ He will note, perhaps marvel for a moment at the cog work in the other's eyes as he speaks. He is a recent arrival and what counts as norms have yet to be catalogued in his mind. He will not think whether or not this fellow is outside them but concentrate on simpler pursuits. Facts he can deduce on the spot. Always work with facts. He had eyes for clocks, it wouldn't be a great leap if the other played on some levels of self-projection into the scenario. ]

Frivolous. Entirely. Perhaps said clock has ceased to be of value.

[ He'll attempt to trigger some sort of reaction from that. ]

Or it has earned to be an offense to someone's aesthetics. Thoughts?

[He pauses in midstride, turning to stare at Sherlock with eyebrows raised.]

Value? The clock always has value, I mean...it's just a bit broken, any person talented enough could fix it. And even if it was broken beyond repair, you could use the gears for other things.

[He holds it out, gazing at it with a rather fond air. He can't help it, he adores these things.] I don't think it's the aesthetics, either, it has quite the lovely craftmanship! Even if it is grey. But either way, a clock is still a clock and shouldn't deserve to get thrown out.

[ Oh the implications of talent are there. He takes Cheriour's words under so much scrutiny. He will adjust the cuffs of sleeve as the man prattles on about the clock work. ]

Is it in your norm to express feelings of abandonment or is this circumstantial to the situation?

[ Casually and bluntly like how one would say: 'Oh, terrible weather'. Tact and Sherlock don't really belong in the same sentence. ]
clockeyes: (how about the tales of those)

...

[There's a long pause, and then Cheriour tilts his head at the man, frowning as he tries to understand what exactly Sherlock means.]

Excuse me? What do you mean, feelings of abandonment? I was talking about clocks, not myself.
