Welcome to the second season of the Asgard Eventide Test Drive Meme! This is your hostess, Noah, very pleased to bring this back after the success of our last drive.

Now the steps are the same as the last time. In fact, mostly copy-pasta:
Step 1: Post with the character and journal you're wanting to play. You're more than welcome to leave the message blank or have a fun little scenario going on. Like fighting that dragon thing or other Assgard shenanigans.

Okay I was a little off in my scheduling the last time, but these memes will go up the day of reserves, depending on my own ability to get them up. Other than that, go ahead and have fun.

[No, it's not, but Fang's not one to complain at this point. Getting used to Asgard takes some time, but it's not as bad as it looks.]

Haven't seen your face around here b'fore. You new?

.. I guess so - I'm not sure where I am... [ FROWN WHO ARE YOU. Okay. Calm down, regroup. ]

- Do you know? Or have you just arrived as well?

[There's something extremely familiar about that woman. It takes him a minute to realize why, but when he does, it seems incredible.

Of course she'd grown older. It had been years. It's just that he hadn't been expecting to see her here. He's not exactly sure what to say in a situation like this, so he doesn't try to think it out, just comes over with a wave and a smile, winging it.] Hey.

Good to see you. It's been a while, huh?

[ She remembers him. She knows the voice before she turns to see its source; but she has a difficult time believing it. Now she's wondering if, perhaps, she's dreaming. ]

I could say the same to you. [ Her brows furrow, though. Despite her relief at seeing an old friend... ] Is this a dream?

[A dream wasn't what he'd thought it was at first, though it was a more pleasant idea than what he'd thought.]

I don't know what it is, to tell you the truth. [And that concerns him, especially if she's here as well--he's more worried for her sake than his own.] Just got here myself.

I like the new look. [He smiles, trying to brighten the mood a little, ease the tension.] Though I kinda miss the hat. [He gestures to his temple where a hat would be, if he were wearing one, just joking.]

you have to be really honest about ... how you feel re: my tifa ok because i am all the unsure, ok?

[ That's not reassuring at all. ]

It reminds me of Midgar, a little. Less mechanical... [ And then he's saying something about new look and hats and -- wait. ]

I've looked like this for a long time. Though, if you ask nicely enough, I may see what I can do about the hat once in awhile. [ Her smile warms, and she relaxes a bit. She's missed that subtle humor; he always had that going for him. She suddenly finds herself wishing she could've gotten a chance to actually know him well... To know him better than she did. ]

We should take a look around, see what it's like here. It would be nice to have company.

Aw, she seems great so far--sorry for the slow!

A long time? Well, I figured. I've been gone a long time.

[He says this without his voice betraying any of his feelings about the fact, moving on.] It is a big city, and it's got sectors, but yeah, it's not quite the same. And at least there's no smog. [Small mercies, right?]

Then I'll be sure to ask as nicely as I can. [Zack laughs, a little, then nods.] Sounds like a good idea. We should stick together. Especially as we don't know what's going on. It is good to see a friendly face here.

[ Nope. This is, however, Cloud 1.0 who approaches Tifa readily, even if his expression is wary and even pinched, a feat considering how tense it normally is anyway. She's gotta be Tifa, he knows that. She does look different, though, and his experience with meeting people he knows here has been a bit dicey. ]

The set-up's not that different from Midgar's. [ Since she's looking around. Either she gets it, or she doesn't. ] Nine sectors, one for each god.

[ Cloud. CLOUD. Okay, she's both... relieved and a little worried at the same time. Why is he here? And why -- does he look younger? The lack of age is obvious in his face, in his mannerisms. She knows him like the back of her hand, and this isn't the Cloud she remembers seeing last. ]

I was starting to think that might be close. [ But that still doesn't explain why they're here. ] The woman I talked to didn't give me much help, either. She called it Asgard, but where are we, really, Cloud? [ She'll get to the why are you a babbybabbyfais questions later. ]

[ Also in his clothes, unless Cloud's taken to cosplaying SOLDIER again recently.

And hey. He has not been babbybabbyfais since.....since....two seconds ago, given the brief flicker of surprise that passed over his face. She is Tifa, the one he knows.

Okay, he actually does have a clue what might be going on, so he's not getting himself in trouble just yet with questioning why she looks older. Plot exposition go... ]

That's what this place is called. Asgard. [ He pauses, realizing Tifa's likely not going to take this well, but adds: ] We probably aren't on Gaia. They say this is a world that connects all the others. [ A little shrug that--yeah--looks more like Zack's than Cloud's. ] ...I know it sounds weird, but that's what we've got to go on so far.
