❧ let's do this.- We have an Enable Me Please/App This Please meme up over here! Take a peek, see if maybe you have some potential castmates or characters you might want to try out.
- Anyone can post to the test drive meme, including duplicates! Please put your character name and canon in the title of your comment.
- All threads are considered open to everyone! Tag around and make some friends (or enemies)!
- If you decide to apply to the game, you can use your TDM threads for your app samples! You only need to provide seven comments if you use TDM samples.
- You can't really be late to a TDM! This will be considered open until the next one goes live next month.
- You can make up your own scenario, interact with one of the locations in the game, use the welcome process of your character waking or selecting a god house, or use our optional prompt below!
- You do not need to pick a god house to play on the TDM! You can have your character still in the process of discussing/deciding/despairing instead.
- If you are accepted to the game, you can keep TDM threads as game canon as long as you fudge some of the details depending on your original thread. If you aren't sure exactly how to do this, you can always ask a mod.
- Reserves open on June 24 at 12:01AM PST and close on June 30 at 11:59PM PST.
- Applications open on July 1 at 12:01AM PST and close on July 7 at 11:59PM PST.
- Please always feel free to contact the mods if you have any questions! Have fun, dear (future?) Wanderers. ♥
❧ optional scenario.A thunderstorm seems to have taken over Asgard's sky, dark clouds hanging eerily low and crackling with energy. The entire city is cast into a gloomy grey, the actual colors of the plants and buildings just a little more dull than normal. The air feels thick and heavy, even indoors, and the weather seems to be having varying effects on everyone.
A
sudden clap of thunder might bring back a sharp memory of the last time you were truly afraid of something.
A
bright flash of lightning might make your heart race with excitement and a sudden drive to do something you ordinarily wouldn't.
The
heavy downpour of rain might make you inexplicably sad about something, whether real or imagined.
These effects might only last a second, or perhaps they stay with you all day. Maybe you just have to get out of the rain and dry off, that's all - perhaps it's just normal weather.

[ it isn't like it's been ten months. or forty five years.
well, at least klaus won't have to explain the concept of time differences between here and home to five. having just been with klaus, even though klaus has been here for roughly three weeks is a concept that five is intimately familiar with, after all. basically, klaus is lucky that it was five who ended up here with him and not, say, luther or diego. at least in five's opinion.
klaus does look marginally better than he did the last time five saw him (which was recently, of course), but who can really say how long such a thing will last? maybe this is a new trend, or maybe five just happened to catch him on an off day. well, off for klaus. klaus may have been clean for a few days when last five saw him, but a lot can happen in three weeks.
five raises both eyebrows and snorts in return as he shakes his head ] I do hope for that. Though if all that time spent alone in our shitty future didn't make me crazy, [ even though it has been suggested that it did... ] then I can probably handle you and whatever other idiots might be here for a little while.
[ he starts to answer klaus' question (he gives it half a day before he starts to threaten klaus. at most) but then his eyes follow his brother's hand. he leans closer to klaus, eyes narrowing as he inspects the mark on his brother's neck ] Looks like someone else got there before me. How did it happen?

[ha...haha... thank god it hasn't been that long-- for either of them.
had it been luther or diego who'd shown up, he wouldn't have bitched at all, but having someone like five – someone who knows what they're doing better than the rest of them – is a huge comfort. he's always been the smartest, has always known how to take bizarre situations as these in stride and calculate a plan (or two or three) while the rest of the siblings do what they do best.
and god only knows what that is, depending on the day.] Aw, that's sweet. You don't think I'm the only idiot here. [he brings the other hand to his chest, clutches momentarily then raises it higher and sniffles, wipes away a nonexistent tear.] And besides, we're all crazy in some way.
[he's anticipating some smartass remark, except it doesn't come and when he realizes it, that's the time klaus notices five leaning closer, trying to get a better look at his neck.] What, my kitten scratch? [a dismissive wave, casual as you like, immediately attempting to draw attention away.] Nothing to worry about. Someone thought they were threatening me, but they learned differently.
[don't make him repeat it, five, and don't mind the way he's going to forgo telling the whole story.]
no subject
and as for klaus being here as well? probably among the better of the choices. while each sibling tends to be stubborn in their own way, klaus can be sometimes swayed, at least ]
Of course I don't think you're the only idiot here. Most people tend to be idiots.
[ when klaus waves his hand, five reaches up to push it back down, being wholly uninterested in allowing the matter to be brushed aside so quickly ]
You've been here three weeks, maybe even less by your estimate. Who did you manage to piss off already?
no subject
he showed his usefulness and it wasn't being a damn lookout (for once).]
Yeah, yeah. Hardy-har-har, you're sooo funny, [he'd been hoping the subject would've gotten dropped after the brush-off, yet it seems five has other plans.
his eyebrows arch surprisedly, eyes becoming far too wide once five catches his hand and lowers it again. apprehension wrinkles klaus's forehead while he contemplates, rolls his lips then shakes his head. why was five always the one finding him in compromising moments? much like the time he'd found him following his lovely briefcase adventure.]
Just some angry, stabby young adult? It. Really doesn't matter, Five, I'm okay.
no subject
okay so five may not admit it aloud, but klaus has been useful. at the theater and meritech, both. even if five did declare after the incident at meritech that klaus was useless. frustration comes in ugly forms ]
Hilarious, right? Good. That's exactly what I was going for. [ if klaus can't hear the sarcasm, he simply isn't listening.
five sighs and shakes his head. it sounds terrible, but he can certainly understand wanting to stab klaus (or a lot of people, really), but you don't act on that impulse. honestly, five isn't particularly happy about the fact that someone acted on that particular impulse. he didn't claw his way back to his family just for klaus to get knifed ]
I don't care [ that... doesn't sound right. he cares that klaus is okay ] You don't just brush that shit off.
[ not that five knows if it did initially get brushed off. maybe klaus actually did something about it! ]
no subject
oh, and he hears it, yet is simply ignoring or refusing to acknowledge it.] Always knew you were secretly a comedian in the works.
[is the fact he keeps trying to deflect too evident? if so, he needs to try harder since five doesn't seem likely to let up about this silly accident-- which is exactly what he's been calling the run-in with ivar. you chance things, take a gamble and sometimes get stabbed for saying something wrong, even if klaus happens to be deadset on ivar being someone who'd enjoy snuff porn.
he cringes at the thought (and five's snappy retort but less so), inclines his head then reaches to scratch the side of his neck. his brother quite obviously gives a shit, no doubt, and still he sounds self-deprecative when he admits,] It really is fine, [while he's attempting to sneak his other hand away.] Because—
[because?] Be...cause... our powers don't work here? Or they're different. I don't know, it's hard to explain, but I ended up healing myself. [a wiggle of the fingers on his idle hand.] Mostly.
[does that count as doing something about it?]
