You can make up your own scenario, interact with one of the locations in the game, use the welcome process of your character selecting a god house, or use our optional prompt below! You do not need to pick a god house to play on the TDM! You can have your character still in the process of discussing/deciding/despairing instead. If you are accepted to the game, you can keep TDM threads as game canon as long as you fudge some of the details depending on your original thread. Wanderers. ♥ ❧ optional scenario. As you enter Asgard proper, many of the natives have gathered into curious crowds to greet these mysterious children of the World Tree. Some of them carry baskets of flowers and nervously offer one to any Wanderers that come near. They are vibrant and colorful, picked from the wilds surrounding Asgard, and they might have an odd effect on your character if they sniff the flowers directly. Purple flowers will make your character very giggly and easily amused by everything they see and hear. Orange flowers will make your character feel very warm all over, like the sun is beating down on them directly. Blue flowers will make your character somewhat short and impatient with anything that seems like even a minor inconvenience to them. Effects of the flowers can wear off anywhere between a few minutes to an hour. And for those new to Asgard, this scenario aligns with some of the general curses we might have in the game! navigation.

[ That is precisely the attitude Honir keeps in his heart. He grins bright and happy when they enter the clearing, and flaps his hand vaguely at their apology. ]

Oh no, not an intrusion at all! In fact, I suppose you could say that's exactly what this is all here for in the first place.

[ The temple? The city? Him? All of it, honestly. Honir gestures to the other seat at his table. ]

[Curious amber eyes with vertical pupils scan him, smiling once they recognised who it was.]

Ah, yes. It's nice to meet you again in a less formal setting~

[The welcome process was mostly an information dump, after all. Fran had chosen Honir simply because it was the best fit.

I'd love some, thank you! [They take a seat beside him, reversing the height difference as their legs fold on the chair. Their tone shifts to one of amusement.] I see you've escaped from your welcoming duties?

[ As soon as they sit, the kettle on the table hops right to work, filling both of their cups before settling back on the table. A pleasant curl of steam seems to continuously rise from them, but if they take a drink, it'll always be just the right temperature for drinking.

The cheery eyed god laughs at their question and takes a sip from his cup. ]

Maybe just for a moment. You know, I may never tire of meeting new mortals in all my many days. But sometimes it's nice to be surrounded by your own nonsense.

[ This is all perfect nonsense for Honir. ]

[Their gaze follows the kettle, rapt with interest as it animates itself, then swaps to the cups. Slender fingers cuuurl through the handle, lifting the mug to their lips to take a sip, sighing, and cradling the drink between both hands.]

Or immortals, in my case. I am curious how your world tree managed that.

[A soft snicker, Fran's eyes settle back on Honir. Funnily, it all makes sense to them too.]

I can relate though. Crowds, for now, are still a bit uncomfortable. But you've gathered quite a few folks, it seems. Humans, elves, trolls... Even a Nymph. But what might I call you?
