All threads are considered open to everyone! Tag around and make some friends (or enemies)! If you decide to apply to the game, you can use your TDM threads for your app samples! You only need to provide seven comments if you use TDM samples. You can't be "late" to a TDM! This will be considered open until the next one goes live next month. You can make up your own scenario, interact with one of the locations in the game, use the welcome process of your character selecting a god house, or use our optional prompt below! You do not need to pick a god house to play on the TDM! You can have your character still in the process of discussing/deciding/despairing instead. If you are accepted to the game, you can keep TDM threads as game canon as long as you fudge some of the details depending on your original thread. Wanderers. ♥ ❧ optional scenario. As you enter Asgard proper, many of the natives have gathered into curious crowds to greet these mysterious children of the World Tree. Some of them carry baskets of flowers and nervously offer one to any Wanderers that come near. They are vibrant and colorful, picked from the wilds surrounding Asgard, and they might have an odd effect on your character if they sniff the flowers directly. Purple flowers will make your character very giggly and easily amused by everything they see and hear. Orange flowers will make your character feel very warm all over, like the sun is beating down on them directly. Blue flowers will make your character somewhat short and impatient with anything that seems like even a minor inconvenience to them. Effects of the flowers can wear off anywhere between a few minutes to an hour. And for those new to Asgard, this scenario aligns with some of the general curses we might have in the game! navigation.

( Everyone is so obsessed with sleeping in close proximity to one another!! Why doesn't anyone appreciate a bed and room made for one person? He'd even take THE GROUND with one person at this rate!

It all doesn't matter since it won't be happening anytime soon; there are so many people confused and ambling that he's likely to be tripped over no matter where he sleeps. The present issue, though, is he seems to be conversing with some type of strange spirit. )

Not a nymph, but a spirit. I thought the point of those is that you couldn't see them, though?

( He's absolutely no expert on spirits and the like, but Emil does know they're supposedly invisible, ephemeral things. )

[The nymphs eyes gave a silly little roll, nodding as their lips curled into an amused grin for another moment as they walked.]

Of course, I don't mean to be pushy~ If you choose a 'god' to connect with, they said they have a place for us to sleep.

[The emphasis on god suggests Fran more just considers it a title. A brow perks at the question, head twisting up once again to look at him.]

Hmm, where I come from, there are all sorts of different spirits! Nymph's are plenty visible when we want to be seen~
What was the spirit you met like?

( At this point Emil hadn't gone to see the new Godly digs, but it doesn't bode well. With the layout of this place as it is, he doesn't expect much. At least it'll be better than on the ground, no matter where it is. )

I've never seen a spirit. Or met one. Creatures...sure. Not spirits.

( It wasn't too long ago that seeing someone as abstract as Fran would be extremely off-putting or a frightful experience. Certain instances of trauma and exhaustion have made him much more apathetic to strange circumstances that don't directly inhibit him.

Not to mention, a nymph seems like small potatoes compared to this stupid Assgrab land. )

Whether you're visible or not doesn't much bother me. As long as you aren't dangerous or want to eat me, we're fine.

[Neither has Fran, admittedly. But the description they got of their housing sounded quite nice!]

[Horns and eyes (and somewhat normal height) aside, there are certainly stranger creatures one could have come across. Satyrs, Centaurs... the 8 legged horses in the stables... Who knows!]

I wouldn't say everything...

( There are certain things no one wants to have as a first time, like being bitten by a sheep, choking to death, pouring a whole glass of juice on yourself while important military officials watch you very judgmentally...anyway. Meeting a strange forest being...eh, he'll see if it falls into that category at a later date.

At least he's not in danger of becoming an Emil sandwich. )

Sweden is where I'm from. A lot of this older Gods stuff is a thing of history back home, but it's all supposed to be myths! Not a reality I can fall into! ( Shit, he really doesn't need to fall back down this hole of ranting about wanting to be home again...it won't change, he can't escape, there's no turning back. It's just all so frustrating! ) Anyway, it's all relatively normal. There are Gods and people who use them and communicate with them, but it's not so...in your face and mandatory.

( He's trying Very Hard to keep his language about mages and what they believe in friendly and nondiscriminatory...the things he does for friendship. ) At the very least this place doesn't have giants and trolls. That's about the only welcome change.

[One hand raises to stifle a soft laugh, returning the trailing statement with a curt nod. Everything pleasant, at least.]

Hmm. I've never heard of it! Is it a nice place? [A question they'll get a completely unbiased answer to, certainly.] Eheh, so you'd like this situation better if it wasn't as forceful?

[That typical, bemused smile lingers as Fran's posture relaxes. Perhaps Emil gives off particularly non-threatening vibes or something. Every so often they're waved to by locals, or Fran's head spins to glance at some sound or another, half-lost in the modern designs of this sparsely populated city.]

Mmmh- Or hunters. It seems very peaceful here. That's nice.
