You can make up your own scenario, interact with one of the locations in the game, use the welcome process of your character selecting a god house, or use our optional prompt below! You do not need to pick a god house to play on the TDM! You can have your character still in the process of discussing/deciding/despairing instead. If you are accepted to the game, you can keep TDM threads as game canon as long as you fudge some of the details depending on your original thread. Wanderers. ♥ ❧ optional scenario. As you enter Asgard proper, many of the natives have gathered into curious crowds to greet these mysterious children of the World Tree. Some of them carry baskets of flowers and nervously offer one to any Wanderers that come near. They are vibrant and colorful, picked from the wilds surrounding Asgard, and they might have an odd effect on your character if they sniff the flowers directly. Purple flowers will make your character very giggly and easily amused by everything they see and hear. Orange flowers will make your character feel very warm all over, like the sun is beating down on them directly. Blue flowers will make your character somewhat short and impatient with anything that seems like even a minor inconvenience to them. Effects of the flowers can wear off anywhere between a few minutes to an hour. And for those new to Asgard, this scenario aligns with some of the general curses we might have in the game! navigation.

Look, I didn't really know who he was at first, okay? And no, I didn't try make friends with Cerberus, I was kinda busy trying not to get eaten by him and his three heads!

[Of course, Sora missed Herc telling Phil how he had worn the huge dog down by the time Sora stepped in, but even so. It wasn't exactly a breeze to take care of finishing the beast off.]

And just out of scientific curiosity - how big is Cerberus? The books could never quite put a figure on it.

Oh and - Hades. Did he sit in a throne of skeletons?

He's huge!

[Sora had to jump to get up on his back and heads! So big! But he isn't sure he can really show Vanitas how big either, given even if he has been growing, he's probably still not quite tall enough for it.]

And Hades? I don't remember. I just remember the Underworld being creepy.....

Imagine that, the underworld being a creepy place [ Vanitas is straightening his gloves after he says this, clearly taking his time in an attempt to get Sora to maybe, potentially realise what he'd just said. ]

What did you expect the underworld to look like, I wonder? We're not talking about a place most people would like to investigate...but I guess you'll tell me next that Hercules, and your friends , and yourself all journeyed to the realm of the dead? And had a jolly good time after all was said and done?

I'm Vanitas, a doctor of vampires! [ and Vanitas is spreading his arms out here as if to say, yes this is what a vampire doctor looks like. The cravat and the ribbons are 100% essential for his job ]

You know, that story of yours sounds quite fantastic. Which means that you're either lying or possibly quite famous.

[Look. He ran into Vanitas back at Monstropolis. He just wouldn't necessarily recognize the other given the mask. But this guy is saying it is him, or at least the same name. So of course that instantly has Sora on guard, stepping back.

....Sure, he has no idea about the vampire thing, but. It might be him?]

That's what I just told you. [ And this? This is Vanitas sounding sulky.

People who know the name Vanitas, they think of Vanitas of The Blue Moon more often than not. Which makes sense of course - Vanitas took his name to undo his work.

The point is, Sora knowing this name? Is not a good sign ]

However, I'm merely kin to the Vanitas you're thinking of. We're very different.

But....what kin? What happened to your mask?

[And the coat? Yeah, give Sora a moment to figure this....this is not the Vanitas he met and has heard about in relation to Ventus. He's still not quite sure what to make of him yet, and confused.]

Did you mean to ask about about a book? [ it's great that both of them are on the same page really, even if the same page has to do with being greatly confused.

What book? No, I mean the mask you were wearing. I thought we threw you through those doors to send you away.

[Because the monsters had not appreciated Vanitas interfering in them trying to get Boo home, and messing with their factory.]
