All threads are considered open to everyone! Tag around and make some friends (or enemies)! If you decide to apply to the game, you can use your TDM threads for your app samples! You only need to provide seven comments if you use TDM samples. You can't be "late" to a TDM! This will be considered open until the next one goes live next month. You can make up your own scenario, interact with one of the locations in the game, use the welcome process of your character selecting a god house, or use our optional prompt below! You do not need to pick a god house to play on the TDM! You can have your character still in the process of discussing/deciding/despairing instead. If you are accepted to the game, you can keep TDM threads as game canon as long as you fudge some of the details depending on your original thread. Wanderers. ♥ ❧ optional scenario. As you enter Asgard proper, many of the natives have gathered into curious crowds to greet these mysterious children of the World Tree. Some of them carry baskets of flowers and nervously offer one to any Wanderers that come near. They are vibrant and colorful, picked from the wilds surrounding Asgard, and they might have an odd effect on your character if they sniff the flowers directly. Purple flowers will make your character very giggly and easily amused by everything they see and hear. Orange flowers will make your character feel very warm all over, like the sun is beating down on them directly. Blue flowers will make your character somewhat short and impatient with anything that seems like even a minor inconvenience to them. Effects of the flowers can wear off anywhere between a few minutes to an hour. And for those new to Asgard, this scenario aligns with some of the general curses we might have in the game! navigation.

Her eyes lit up at his title. She rose to curtsy to him properly. "An honor to meet you, Star Lord. I apologize for not knowing you. A guardian of the galaxy sounds so grand." It sounded like a title suited for Cinder and the others, though only Thorne would accept such a distinction.

"Oh, wow..." It's muttered only but audible and Peter's left a little stunned at her reaction. It makes him smile like Christmas came early a moment later, of course, because it's always nice to get recognition even if she's doing it out of protocol.

"No need to apologize at all, it's a big Galaxy. We can get to know each other better now." He could use someone to talk to and Peter always loved meeting new people, discovering more about alien species and seeing how big the universe was. It's another of the reasons why being in Asgard makes him feel like a mouse trapped in a cage. "What's the job of an ambassador like? Aside from extenuating."

"My job is to meet with representatives and negotiate trade and travel. Some people are still wary of Lunars. My goal is for there to be friendship between our peoples."

"What does a star lord do?"

"And why the wariness? It's just because people can just generally be jerks to those they don't know or did something happen?"

He figured it couldn't hurt to ask. He's dealt with difficult cultures before, The Sovereign comes to mind, and Peter knows who quick things can turn bad if you mess up the protocol. Granted, back then the problems started because Rocket stole something important from them but The Sovereign weren't the nicest people either.

"I'm the Captain of my team. We aid people in need, catch criminals, fight monsters...there's never a boring day in our line of work."

It amazed Winter that he didn't know about Lunars. But then, if he was a star lord, perhaps he wouldn't have heard of them.

"Lunars have the power to manipulate others," she told him. "Make you see things, feel things. Even with Linh Garan's device, the fear of Lunar manipulation is high. The war Queen Levana started with the Earthens is still very fresh in people's minds. My days are not very boring, either."

"Like telepathy? My adoptive sister is an empath herself, she can influence people in some ways as well."

It had been a shock at first, an embarrassing one, but now Peter was used to Mantis' powers and she liked the girl a lot. It was one of the reasons why he didn't look particularly alarmed by Winter's explanation of what his people could do. It was dangerous, of course, and he could see why it would cause wariness.

"Why did the war start? I mean, the purpose was to take over the planet for the resources or...?

"More like... a puppeteer." She lifted her hand and let her fingers dance as if she's pulling invisible strings. "Not all of us have that gift, but enough abused it for people to fear us."

Winter tilted her head up to gaze at the sky. "My people wanted Earth, and their queen used cruelty to obtain it. I wish I could tell you why, but I have only ever known her as cruel."

His gaze falls to her fingers, attention caught, and then winces. Yeah, abuse of power comes as no surprise.

"Since you're an ambassador, I'm guessing they chose you specifically because you don't have those inclinations and delusions of grandeur. Sorry about your Queen, living under that kind of ruler can't be easy. At least here you can have a break. Vacations of a sort."
