All threads are considered open to everyone! Tag around and make some friends (or enemies)! If you decide to apply to the game, you can use your TDM threads for your app samples! You only need to provide seven comments if you use TDM samples. You can't be "late" to a TDM! This will be considered open until the next one goes live next month. You can make up your own scenario, interact with one of the locations in the game, use the welcome process of your character selecting a god house, or use our optional prompt below! You do not need to pick a god house to play on the TDM! You can have your character still in the process of discussing/deciding/despairing instead. If you are accepted to the game, you can keep TDM threads as game canon as long as you fudge some of the details depending on your original thread. Wanderers. ♥ ❧ optional scenario. As you enter Asgard proper, many of the natives have gathered into curious crowds to greet these mysterious children of the World Tree. Some of them carry baskets of flowers and nervously offer one to any Wanderers that come near. They are vibrant and colorful, picked from the wilds surrounding Asgard, and they might have an odd effect on your character if they sniff the flowers directly. Purple flowers will make your character very giggly and easily amused by everything they see and hear. Orange flowers will make your character feel very warm all over, like the sun is beating down on them directly. Blue flowers will make your character somewhat short and impatient with anything that seems like even a minor inconvenience to them. Effects of the flowers can wear off anywhere between a few minutes to an hour. And for those new to Asgard, this scenario aligns with some of the general curses we might have in the game! navigation.

[Musing tone:] Four legs...

[Yeah, they're kinda small but...] Ah! They're like smaller Fathiers. [And their heads aren't the same, Finn. But yes.]

You know, Fathiers... [Gesturing way over his head.] Super tall weird looking fox things. They race them.

Though...I didn't know about them until I got to Canto Bight.

So basically the only thing they have in common with horses is four legs.

[ If they look like foxes and are super tall?? ]

Well, yeah, given what you think horses look like. And not like... [Slightly wild gesturing toward their eight-legged fellow who has noticed them and is shifting closer in search of sugar cubes or some such sweet.]

Seriously not kidding about the diamond horse. No idea how it exists though.

[ Oh, hello. There's a horse muzzle against his shoulder. He was absolutely not paying much attention, and now he's jumping at a horse sniffing at him. But he's totally cool. ]

[Frowning sort of concerned look.] I don't think it'd be comfortable to be a diamond anything if you were alive. [It doesn't sound like a comfy situation.

A light laugh.] At least they're not eating us, that's a good sign.

[ After nuzzling Rhys's shoulder for a while, the horse pulls back with a shake of its head and an offended snort. Or, at least, Rhys thinks it sounds offended.

But indeed it's not eating them. It wouldn't even have surprised him, honestly. ]

I dunno what you want, buddy. I don't speak horse.

Wonder if anyone from my home knows it. [Considering the variety of languages in Star Wars.] Could be close to Wookiee. [Finn...

Reaching out a hand to the horse, palm outstretched.] But they wouldn't drop us down where something is going to eat us, right?

[ That gets a loud, wry laughter from him, head thrown back and all. It lasts for several seconds, and the horse looks startled.

They wouldn't? ]

Why wouldn't they?

Well, I doubt they'd go through the trouble with trying to get us to "sign up" for whatever it is they want us for. [More like...need to so that we don't die but beside the point.]

Unless it's some weird game they're playing. Why let us loose on their world?

Unless they're lying, they didn't choose to drop us here. And if they are lying, I don't see why they wouldn't drop us somewhere something would eat us. Pretty sure there are quite a few things in the universe that would eat us.

[captainmaterial]

Of that, I have absolutely no doubt. I've seen a few of them. Rathtars for one. [Shuddering. As he jumps around in conversation. As one is wont to do.]

Maybe they get no choice in where they dropped us?

About which part? The Rathtars or the random drops?

The random drops. I've ... no idea what Rathtars are, and I probably don't want to.
