the test drive meme. ❧ let's do this. Anyone can post to the test drive meme, including duplicates! Please put your character name and canon in the title of your comment. All threads are considered open to everyone! Tag around and make some friends (or enemies)! If you decide to apply to the game, you can use your TDM threads for your app samples! You only need to provide seven comments if you use TDM samples. You can't be "late" to a TDM! This will be considered open until the next one goes live next month. You can make up your own scenario, interact with one of the locations in the game, use the welcome process of your character selecting a god house, or use our optional prompt below! You do not need to pick a god house to play on the TDM! You can have your character still in the process of discussing/deciding/despairing instead. If you are accepted to the game, you can keep TDM threads as game canon as long as you fudge some of the details depending on your original thread. Wanderers. ♥ ❧ optional scenario. As you enter Asgard proper, many of the natives have gathered into curious crowds to greet these mysterious children of the World Tree. Some of them carry baskets of flowers and nervously offer one to any Wanderers that come near. They are vibrant and colorful, picked from the wilds surrounding Asgard, and they might have an odd effect on your character if they sniff the flowers directly. Purple flowers will make your character very giggly and easily amused by everything they see and hear. Orange flowers will make your character feel very warm all over, like the sun is beating down on them directly. Blue flowers will make your character somewhat short and impatient with anything that seems like even a minor inconvenience to them. Effects of the flowers can wear off anywhere between a few minutes to an hour. And for those new to Asgard, this scenario aligns with some of the general curses we might have in the game! navigation.

That's my normal complexion, though. [If anything, this condition is giving him a little more color than usual.]

As far as symptoms, I just felt very warm very suddenly. Just a few minutes ago. A fever, maybe?

[Right, almost forgot that last part.] Ah. I'm Raidou Kuzunoha. [He gives a bit of a bow in greeting.]

There are vampires with healthier complexions [ which, well, maybe. Probably not. Mainly, Vanitas believes that bullying other people a bit is great exercise. ]

It didn't even occur to me that we could get sick [ because he was busy running around, like a fool. Trying to see if any of his fellow travellers know more than him. Vanitas sighs, already deciding that Raidou won't shed much led on the situation ]

Seems like a bit of a joke, to be taken from where we belong only to get ill in this place.

[ The bow makes him tilt his head. Looks like he's dealing with an overly polite person? He will....just stay on the ground, then. ]

You're probably right about that. [There are many different kind of vampires out there, after all.]

I suppose it makes sense, though. Traveling to a different place, with a different environment than you're accustomed too... [He tugs at his collar. He doesn't want to lose more layers, but he's really burning up here.] I just wouldn't think something could hit me so suddenly.

Let me know if your eyes turn red [ Vanitas is tilting his head in an attempt to make eye contact, cracking his neck while he's at it ] that way, we could make a proper vampire out of you yet.

An oddly scientific approach. [ and an oddly unflusterrd manner. Vanitas wonders at thr lack of terror and confusion and can't.make his head up yet what the reason might be ] I guess I should give you points for that.

Don't worry, I'd recognize those signs of vampirism. While I am feeling feverish, I think I'd be doing even worse out here in the sunlight like this. [And while Raidou's hat brim is shading his face, Vanitas can probably tell that Raidou's eyes are still a light grey color, and thankfully not red.]

Just being logical. Because, on the other hand, it could just be magic. [Raidou manages a bit of a grin at that. How else did they even get to Asgard? Magic was all over the place here.]

Most vampires are certainly more hot-headed than you. [ pitching his voice to sound - what? Teasing and slightly accusatory? He's not normally tempted to make medical jokes but there's a first time.for everything.]

Magic, huh? You sound familiar with the concept. [ He's wondering about the hat actually; the closed-off bits to this reserved person. He's not sure, just yet, if he'll find anything engaging behind all these layers ]

Very familiar, but I think whatever is going on with this place is different than anything I've encountered before. Besides-- [That grin slips away.] -- they sealed it away from me when I arrived. So if whatever is happening to me is magically related, I can no longer tell.

[A demon summoner who can no longer summon. Exactly why did they bring him here then?]

They've crippled us. [ For Vanitas, this is not an exaggeration. He's renamed himself back then to reflect both his goal as well as his abilities, and he feels cheated to have that taken from him.

Cheated enough to be visibly agitated ] It's frustrating...I'm sure that you had something better to do than to be dragged to this place?

[the_fourteenth]

[Raidou nods grimly to answer that question. The Capital of Japan was currently without its summoner to protect it.]]

Of course. I'm sure most of us did. It's not like we had much choice in this matter.

[Still overheated, Raidou gives up, and decides it's time to sit down. Especially if Vanitas is still sitting.]

But I'm not sure what we can do about that yet.
