All threads are considered open to everyone! Tag around and make some friends (or enemies)! If you decide to apply to the game, you can use your TDM threads for your app samples! You only need to provide seven comments if you use TDM samples. You can't be "late" to a TDM! This will be considered open until the next one goes live next month. You can make up your own scenario, interact with one of the locations in the game, use the welcome process of your character selecting a god house, or use our optional prompt below! You do not need to pick a god house to play on the TDM! You can have your character still in the process of discussing/deciding/despairing instead. If you are accepted to the game, you can keep TDM threads as game canon as long as you fudge some of the details depending on your original thread. Wanderers. ♥ ❧ optional scenario. As you enter Asgard proper, many of the natives have gathered into curious crowds to greet these mysterious children of the World Tree. Some of them carry baskets of flowers and nervously offer one to any Wanderers that come near. They are vibrant and colorful, picked from the wilds surrounding Asgard, and they might have an odd effect on your character if they sniff the flowers directly. Purple flowers will make your character very giggly and easily amused by everything they see and hear. Orange flowers will make your character feel very warm all over, like the sun is beating down on them directly. Blue flowers will make your character somewhat short and impatient with anything that seems like even a minor inconvenience to them. Effects of the flowers can wear off anywhere between a few minutes to an hour. And for those new to Asgard, this scenario aligns with some of the general curses we might have in the game! navigation.

[ How dare you. How dare you call Max his friend.

(Okay, maybe she's a little his friend now. Maybe. Ugh.)

He flinches a little when Billy heads straight for him and he wishes he could stop laughing, but he can't. ]

The thought of you... with a battle-axe. [ He wheezes between giggles. ] Like that would happen...

[ Oh god, where are his friends to say shut up Mike when he needs them. ]

[driving]

[ He can't believe it. He's storming at this kid like an angry bull and the little shit is still laughing at him.

He stops when he's only a couple feet away, glaring down at Mike. ]

You calling me a fucking wimp, kid? [ He cracks his knuckles. ]

[ Billy asked him a question. He can still make it out of this alive...

He manages to stop laughing, letting out a shaky breath. ] N-no.

[ He's scared, just not piss-your-pants-scared. Now all he needs to do is keep not laughing until Billy walks away...

Mike swallows uncomfortably. It actually hurts to keep his face straight. Then out of nowhere - a snigger. Then one of his hands immediately covers his mouth, wide-eyed. ]

Shit. I didn't mean to do that. [ How much should Mike bet Billy doesn't believe him? Mike slowly starts to back away from him... ]

[driving]

I promised Max that I'd leave you alone.

[ He steps back, and for a moment it seems like he's about to back off like a good big brother would.

Then he looks around. ]

But I don't see her here, do you?

[ And hopefully Mike takes that as his cue to start running, because Billy's about to lunge at him. ]

[ Yeah, he's definitely gonna make a run for it. But not before he thinks of how he can give himself a head start. ]

What do you mean? She's right there. [ He points behind Billy, hoping he'll look. Regardless of whether he falls for it or not, Mike makes a run for it, hoping Billy doesn't have his car here to run him over. ]

[driving]

[ He doesn't fall for it. Sorry Mike, you'll need a better trick than that to actually fool a seasoned bully like him. Every kid he's ever picked on has tried the old 'look over there' routine. ]

You are so dead. [ He takes off after Mike, and he's fast but a big bulky guy like him isn't exactly nimble in crowded areas. ]

[ Great. So Billy isn't actually as dumb as he looks. Just Mike's luck, really.

Mike is definitely quicker getting through crowds but he's always lacked stamina, probably due to the lack of any sports in his life. There's only so long he's going to be able to keep running for before he gets tired (Billy probably knows this too). ]

Sorry! [ He's not apologizing to Billy this time - it's too late for that - but to the people he's bumping into as he pushes past them. Desperate for something to slow Billy down, Mike grabs one of the flowers baskets from a native and literally hurls it behind him at Billy's face as hard as he can.

Look, you gotta improvise sometimes. A flowers attack is still an attack. ]
