You can make up your own scenario, interact with one of the locations in the game, use the welcome process of your character selecting a god house, or use our optional prompt below! You do not need to pick a god house to play on the TDM! You can have your character still in the process of discussing/deciding/despairing instead. If you are accepted to the game, you can keep TDM threads as game canon as long as you fudge some of the details depending on your original thread. Wanderers. ♥ ❧ optional scenario. As you enter Asgard proper, many of the natives have gathered into curious crowds to greet these mysterious children of the World Tree. Some of them carry baskets of flowers and nervously offer one to any Wanderers that come near. They are vibrant and colorful, picked from the wilds surrounding Asgard, and they might have an odd effect on your character if they sniff the flowers directly. Purple flowers will make your character very giggly and easily amused by everything they see and hear. Orange flowers will make your character feel very warm all over, like the sun is beating down on them directly. Blue flowers will make your character somewhat short and impatient with anything that seems like even a minor inconvenience to them. Effects of the flowers can wear off anywhere between a few minutes to an hour. And for those new to Asgard, this scenario aligns with some of the general curses we might have in the game! navigation.

[ Peter doesn't look any happier than Mimir does, keeping to himself and observing others, studying them as well. His eyes meet the God's ones after he gets the sensation of being watched at and then it turns out into some kind of staring contest. Do Gods even blink? Do they even need to do that?

His eyes are starting to sting a little but he's not about to look away first and it's only Honir's arrival what saves both men from keeping this stupid thing up for longer. No short of amusement, Peter sees the way Mimir carefully tucks the flower behind Honir's ear and isn't that just adorable? ]

Very cute. [ It's loud enough to be heard, he imagines Gods have better hearing than most. Peter is trying and failing to hide his smile by the time Mimir resumes his staring. ]

[ mimir's eyebrows go up and he gestures to the flower behind his own ear, as if silently asking 'you mean this?' he will, also, take that as an invitation to approach, though he does crane his neck - glancing in the direction that honir flitted off to with some of the natives. ]

He'll make you a chain of them if you ask.

[ The silent question is answered with an equally silent response, Peter giving a short nod. ]

Well, as long as it goes with my eyes...[ He stands a little straighter when the other man approaches, can't help but still be wary, but the smile is still playing on his lips. ]

You don't seem too happy to be here. [ And somehow that's kind of relieving. Miserly loves company, it seems. ] Not too fond of us, mere mortals?

Oh, 'fondness' has nothing to do with it. You're marvels, really, and I say that with complete sincerity.

[ he leans over to take an orange flower from the arms of an excited, passing city native, offering it over to peter. ]

I believe you'll find most of us 'concerned' more than 'unhappy.'

It would be rude to not accept a sincere compliment.

[ Taking the offered flower, Peter brings it to his face to enjoy its smell. It's nice and in the blink of an eye, he feels warmer, memories of listening to music next to his mother in the grass and basking on the sunlight come to his mid. The smile on his face turns softer and more sincere and he puts the flower behind his own right ear. ]

That's just as worrisome. Why could concern a god? And a whole lot of them?

[ mimir considers for a moment, and then- ]

We didn't bring you here on purpose. You have to understand that we are not quite used to the unplanned here, in our own domain. Your arrival is a mystery, and keeping you- safe, and happy, while affording you as much freedom as we can- it may be a struggle, at first.

[momsboy]

We would be happier without these.

[ He raises a hand, the silver bracelet shining under the lights briefly. The crystal is still colorless, Peter hasn't tethered his soul to any god for a varied number of personal reasons and he doesn't plan in doing so. ]

Humans really don't do well in captivity, even in gilded cages.

[ Peter can be serious when the occasion calls for it but there's no anger in his voice, he's only explaining the issue with resigned frustration. This is a goddamn bitch of an unsatisfactory situation for everyone involved, it's easy to tell. ]

You don't have any theory about what might have pulled us here? [ After a sigh, Peter tugs at the collar of his shirt, feeling warm all over. ] Oh and the name's Star-Lord.
