You can make up your own scenario, interact with one of the locations in the game, use the welcome process of your character selecting a god house, or use our optional prompt below! You do not need to pick a god house to play on the TDM! You can have your character still in the process of discussing/deciding/despairing instead. If you are accepted to the game, you can keep TDM threads as game canon as long as you fudge some of the details depending on your original thread. Wanderers. ♥ ❧ optional scenario. As you enter Asgard proper, many of the natives have gathered into curious crowds to greet these mysterious children of the World Tree. Some of them carry baskets of flowers and nervously offer one to any Wanderers that come near. They are vibrant and colorful, picked from the wilds surrounding Asgard, and they might have an odd effect on your character if they sniff the flowers directly. Purple flowers will make your character very giggly and easily amused by everything they see and hear. Orange flowers will make your character feel very warm all over, like the sun is beating down on them directly. Blue flowers will make your character somewhat short and impatient with anything that seems like even a minor inconvenience to them. Effects of the flowers can wear off anywhere between a few minutes to an hour. And for those new to Asgard, this scenario aligns with some of the general curses we might have in the game! navigation.

I mean, unless he wants those who need to work on their knowledge or something, maybe. But that's true. Both of us missed a lot.

[But that couldn't be helped? Could it? If they had stayed back home, everything would have changed. There would probably be no school, no Islands to go home to.]

Travel...uh, that was...Honir? I think.

He might take pity on us. [ School is pretty low on his list of priorities but he's not against learning more. It just seems more enjoyable to learn by going around different worlds. ]

That sounds right. Maybe he's a good choice if we're looking to get back to... wherever our keyblades might work.

[ And they finally end up where the signs say Heimdall's housing should be, though it doesn't look too much like a house. It looks like it's meant for training. ]

[If there were any way for them to end up with Odin, at least. Still, Sora does seem to take a moment to consider the idea. The god of travel. He's not sure if that would be a way to get back, without their Gummi and all, but if there were any God that would take them home, the one dealing with travel would probably be it? Right?

He is shaken from his thoughts when Riku points out the building.]

Hm? Oh, here? This is it?

Looks like it. Not the most welcoming place in the city.

[ He shrugs and motions for Sora to follow as he steps in a little cautiously. All of the buildings seem plain and utilitarian but Riku isn't exactly picky. He used to be more than willing to sleep on a raft. ]

What should we check out? Mess hall or housing? [ The question is whether Sora wants to eat or nap. ]

It's fine. It's better to have any roof over our head than camping outside.

[Which they have done before among their adventures and their childhoods. Still, Sora doesn't need much. His place back home was simple enough too, and he'd mostly just be sleeping here when he isn't wandering and exploring or what not.]

Hm....mess or housing...

[Aaaaand then Sora's stomach decides for him. Apparently it had been a bit since he last actually ate, judging from the rumbling of his stomach at the mention of food.]

Depends on the roof. Sometimes camping is the best option.

[ It's something to keep in mind if something goes wrong here. He'll have to make an effort to get familiar with the environment first.

But the rumbling interrupts his planning and he nudges at his friend with an elbow. ]

Typical. How long has it been since you ate something? [ Not that Riku has had much chance to eat either. He heads toward the center building, helpfully labeled as the mess hall. ]

Sometimes. [Especially for a good look at the stars. Stargazing kind of takes on a new meaning, almost, now he knows all of them are other worlds. Or at least, that had been the case back home. Still, Sora gives an almost apologetic grin at the elbow nudge.]

I don't know? I lost track with everything that's been going on!

[Regardless, he follows both Riku and his nose, peering in and glancing at the options.]

You're in no shape to keep exploring, then. [ It's said fondly but he means it. They both need to maintain their strength just in case. There's rarely ever a time where they can relax without a fight, and he doubts that'll change here.

When they step into the mess hall, there's certainly food. Plenty of it, but all unprepared. There are utensils all around for them to cook with, but... ]

How's your cooking? Because mine is... [ He didn't even have time for a haircut until recently, let alone cooking meals. ]

[...Riku this is the boy who can apparently fail at cracking an egg.....why are you asking him?

But really. Sora tilts his head as they get closer after he breathes in the scent of the food. The smell enticing and encouraging him to approach to find what it is. Maybe if they went with something simple? Something quick and easy, given how hungry he already is. They could figure something more later if they wanted.]

Er, I dunno. Maybe just something quick and easy?

[Where is Little Chef when Sora needs him?]

[ Just as he thought... Well, they do a lot better when they're together. Surely the two of them can make something easy without failing horribly. ]

Right. Looks like we have a lot of fruit and vegetables.

[ He goes to the refrigerator, which is surprisingly freshly stocked. No signs of meat, though. ] ... And not much else. How do you feel about salads?

[keybearing]

Fruit is easy enough. Maybe a fruit salad? That'd just be chopping and maybe peeling the fruit, easy!

[He's more used to buying food with take out, probably. Or his mother taking care of all that, even if he has picked up a thing or two, maybe, from Little Chef.]
