All threads are considered open to everyone! Tag around and make some friends (or enemies)! If you decide to apply to the game, you can use your TDM threads for your app samples! You only need to provide seven comments if you use TDM samples. You can't be "late" to a TDM! This will be considered open until the next one goes live next month. You can make up your own scenario, interact with one of the locations in the game, use the welcome process of your character selecting a god house, or use our optional prompt below! You do not need to pick a god house to play on the TDM! You can have your character still in the process of discussing/deciding/despairing instead. If you are accepted to the game, you can keep TDM threads as game canon as long as you fudge some of the details depending on your original thread. Wanderers. ♥ ❧ optional scenario. As you enter Asgard proper, many of the natives have gathered into curious crowds to greet these mysterious children of the World Tree. Some of them carry baskets of flowers and nervously offer one to any Wanderers that come near. They are vibrant and colorful, picked from the wilds surrounding Asgard, and they might have an odd effect on your character if they sniff the flowers directly. Purple flowers will make your character very giggly and easily amused by everything they see and hear. Orange flowers will make your character feel very warm all over, like the sun is beating down on them directly. Blue flowers will make your character somewhat short and impatient with anything that seems like even a minor inconvenience to them. Effects of the flowers can wear off anywhere between a few minutes to an hour. And for those new to Asgard, this scenario aligns with some of the general curses we might have in the game! navigation.

I don't care what you believe, [ Kyoko bluntly says, looking up at Vanitas with a frown. ] What I care about is that they did something to me and I wanna figure out what it is so I can fix it.

[ She should have her magical girl powers. There's nothing else to say about the matter, just that she should have her powers. And the fact that she doesn't is continuing to piss Kyoko off (the fact that she has no idea how to get them back is what's pissing her off the most.) ]

You think you can be fixed? [ A quick, knife-edge of a smile before Vanitas stretches ] Ah, my apologies. I believe I meant to say, you think this be fixed?

Be my guest. Walk up to the gods and threaten them [ it's not like Vanitas has not been thinking about it himself, but...] do remember that we're not very imposing at the moment.

[ That digs deeper than Vanitas probably expected. Because no. She can't be fixed. Not entirely, that is. But she can at least be put back to the way she was: stronger than the rest. ]

Of course this can be fixed. They're the jerks that did this, they've got to be able to reverse it. And if nobody else wants to take it up with the gods, then I will.

Just tell me [ and here, Vanitas looks up. Straightens himself up even and looks hia nosw down at Kyoko ] How are you planning to do that?

Do you have a trump card up your sleeve? [ Kyoko looks like a tiny slulip of a girl, red eyes notwithstanding. ] Or are you thinking about simply laying into the gods until they give in?

[ Kyoko scoffs, rolling her eyes as she looks up at Vanitas. ]

I don't know a thing about you, buddy. Why the hell would I tell you what my trump card is?

Bravo, that's a healthy attitude to have!

[ he's going to reach out as if to give her a pat on the shoulder, the motions entirely too energetic. For a moment he wonders how much of what she's talking is ignorance? But, he barrels on ] I guess you'll do what you want, when you want it? No matter what everyone else says?

[ When he tries to pat her on the shoulder, Kyoko almost instantly tries to swat his hand away. Fighting witches as a magical girl means that her reflexes are better than most and her prickly demeanor means that she is not a fan of being touched. ]

If everybody else is gonna be unhelpful like you then yeah, I'll do what I want.

[ That only means that Vanitas will move to straighten his cuffs before holding his hands up in surrender. He spends a moment pondering his luck which has him circle from the Hellfire Witch Jean to Kyoko, one girl as prickly as the next. It makes him wonder if Kyoko has the same weakness as Jean, the urgent and foolish need to protect someone?


For now though, that question is not one he is too interested in solving. Even Vanitas doesn't needlessly pick on kids ] I don't think you understand. I would leave this place in a heartbeat, if I could.

There is little to do if a hoard of powerful beings decides to muck around with your life though. At least for the moment.
