ASGARD GENESIS - TEST DRIVE #1
  ❧ let's do this.
❧ optional scenario. As you enter Asgard proper, many of the natives have gathered into curious crowds to greet these mysterious children of the World Tree. Some of them carry baskets of flowers and nervously offer one to any Wanderers that come near. They are vibrant and colorful, picked from the wilds surrounding Asgard, and they might have an odd effect on your character if they sniff the flowers directly. Purple flowers will make your character very giggly and easily amused by everything they see and hear. Orange flowers will make your character feel very warm all over, like the sun is beating down on them directly. Blue flowers will make your character somewhat short and impatient with anything that seems like even a minor inconvenience to them. Effects of the flowers can wear off anywhere between a few minutes to an hour. And for those new to Asgard, this scenario aligns with some of the general curses we might have in the game!  navigation. |

He's quick to turn around to catch Sora when he ends up tripping in his haste. A quick once over and Ventus visibly relaxes when he sees that Sora seems okay--for the most part.]

[Sora, for all that he was fairly athletic from all his adventuring and sparring and all back home, still had his clumsy moments at times. Especially with this. Ven. He'd heard about the other, they'd spent so long figuring how to help Aqua to be able to get her back to wake Ven and all. Now here he was.]

It's a relief to see Sora. There's a need to keep him close, especially after what happened to him after the Keyblade War, but he resists the urge for now. He's...not sure how much Sora actually knows about him, but since Sora knows his name, that's a good start.]

[He can't help but be worried. Sora...Sora always does best with his friends around.]

[He's not completely unused to at least initially ending up elsewhere on the world to Donald and Goofy for example. So this isn't entirely new. Plus, he had now found Ven! So that was a start, right? Especially with Ven awake and everything! Sora can't help but to be relieved and excited about that! Though he is still obviously kind of dejected all the same in being separated at the moment at least.
Even if he still has no clue what Vanitas looks like under that mask.]

But he smiles softly and wraps an arm around his shoulder, bringing him into a side hug.]

[Because, well. Ever the optimist and all. That's what Sora does. Hope for the best. Always. So of course he returns the smile and still has hope yet that his friends might still be around elsewhere in this strange new world.]

Let's hope they're looking for us, too. And we can ask the townspeople for help too since I don't think they'd be the common sort of people you'd see around here.

[Just don't encourage Sora to get the idea again of trying to draw up posters for their 'lost' friends....Riku's was decidedly not flattering last time.
But still, that Ven still also seems optimistic enough, that helps buoy Sora's own mood and he nods in agreement, giving a smile.]
Where do you think we should start? Where would the others go, looking for us?

Hm, maybe a place where people would be able to gather more easily? Like some kind of landmark that people could go to to get a central point of view on things.

I basically just got here. Is there some place like that around somewhere? Maybe like a town hall or inn or -- I don't know? A square or something?
[While he is used to traveling, that isn't to say that he always automatically knows his way around a new place like this. Unfortunately.]

[Sora counts them all off on his fingers. There's so many of them now! Before, he'd usually always been with Goofy and Donald and was looking for Riku, or Riku and Kairi.]

What about Roxas? Or Xion? And Namine?

[He's....unsure regarding Xion. Because canon and forgetting her. But also he did hear he had a third in his heart? So maybe that was who it was? Still, of course Sora is excited to hear about Roxas. And Namine. Who he still needs to thank.]

It's okay. Deciding that is the last thing I have to figure now for throwing in my app.
[Cue Sora all but bouncing on the spot in excitement and impatience, before he picks up speed in trying to maneuver around through the crowds. To keep an eye out, for any familiar faces in the process. He can't help being thrilled at hearing that, so of course now he is expectantly glancing around as if anticipating seeing them right there.]

[Sora laughs, but he does slow a little in ensuring the other can catch up with him, reaching out a hand. That way they could stick together and not get lost and separated, at least, amid the crowds with so many others having also arrived that were exploring.]
