All threads are considered open to everyone! Tag around and make some friends (or enemies)! If you decide to apply to the game, you can use your TDM threads for your app samples! You only need to provide seven comments if you use TDM samples. You can't be "late" to a TDM! This will be considered open until the next one goes live next month. You can make up your own scenario, interact with one of the locations in the game, use the welcome process of your character selecting a god house, or use our optional prompt below! You do not need to pick a god house to play on the TDM! You can have your character still in the process of discussing/deciding/despairing instead. If you are accepted to the game, you can keep TDM threads as game canon as long as you fudge some of the details depending on your original thread. Wanderers. ♥ ❧ optional scenario. As you enter Asgard proper, many of the natives have gathered into curious crowds to greet these mysterious children of the World Tree. Some of them carry baskets of flowers and nervously offer one to any Wanderers that come near. They are vibrant and colorful, picked from the wilds surrounding Asgard, and they might have an odd effect on your character if they sniff the flowers directly. Purple flowers will make your character very giggly and easily amused by everything they see and hear. Orange flowers will make your character feel very warm all over, like the sun is beating down on them directly. Blue flowers will make your character somewhat short and impatient with anything that seems like even a minor inconvenience to them. Effects of the flowers can wear off anywhere between a few minutes to an hour. And for those new to Asgard, this scenario aligns with some of the general curses we might have in the game! navigation.

[Siete, looking unassuming? Okay, mister antenna head. At least she doesn't seem to have clued in that maybe brandishing a sword in front of two already very scared children isn't the best idea -- hey, she would have loved it if she was them -- and is able to greet the Eternal with a surprised smile, relaxing out of her pose and into something more natural.]

Siete? [It's not an unpleasant sort of surprise, but she isn't going to lie: he's just about the last person she would have expected to run into here.] What do you mean? I'm showing them some of my skills!

[And she looks back at the pair of them, the elder watching warily as her sister continues to fight back sniffles. To Djeeta's credit, they look more confused than anything now that the scary sword-girl isn't attacking them.]

[ she relaxes, and the kids look back at her before looking at him. they've calmed down slightly, but they're still bewildered, and he shakes his head. ]

Be that as it may, I don't think showing them swords at this time is gonna help. Sure, they're cool, but you gotta read the mood a little... [ rich coming from siete, but whatever. he walks up to the kids and crouches down an arm's length in front of them so they're eye level. ] I know she surprised you a bit, but she's just trying to help - and so am I.

You're the last person I thought would be telling me to put my sword away, you know.

[You know it has to be a bit much when Siete, of all people, is telling you that now's no time for sords. She does slide it back into its hilt at her side, though, much to the appreciation of the younger girl, who isn't quite ready to accept that Djeeta isn't secretly some kind of monster, but they'll work on that.

She joins Siete hunched down at his side, giving her warmest smile.]

Don't worry, it's okay. I know he looks a little strange, but he's a good friend of mine. [Confirmed: Siete has one (1) friend.] His name's Siete, and I'm Djeeta. I didn't scare you too much, did I?

[There's silence for a moment, and then a slow shake of a pair of heads. Whatever has them spooked, it's at least more than just an unfortunate runin with this skyfarer.]

Yeah, maybe, but there are kids around! [ he moves to sit cross-legged instead, since it's more comfortable and a bit more disarming for the kids, hopefully. ]

A good friend? The day where you'd be so kind finally falls upon me! [ he grins to the kids. ] Normally she's a little feistier, but don't worry, she knows how to play nice.

[ they still look a bit nervous, and he gets an idea. ] Oh! They gave me one of these at the entrance, but it looks like you guys need it a little more than me. Sharing is caring! [ he hands them a nice, purple flower. he's felt a little off-kilter since entering asgard, and the flower's placebo effect seems to be great. he feels a little better about being stranded already. ]
