GROUP ASSIGNMENTS - JULY 2014: OOC PLOTTING - it's like a CR meme, but for your characters' groups!
To get things started, each character will receive a brief message from the god supervising the group(s) they are in with the following goals for the month. NOTE: It might be useful to track your group's discussion thread if you're afraid you won't think to check back here throughout the month.
MILITARY; ↬ The Military group is asked to start shuffling themselves into ranks. Who has experience, who knows how to use what weapon, who can train and who needs training?
MEDICS; ↬ What sort of healers do you have? Is it all magical, or are there any practiced in standard medicine as well? Battlefield medicine? Merlin had begun creating medkits and dispersing medkits before he left; does everyone in the medic group know how to use everything that comes in a standard one?
ENGINEERS; ↬ The city's walls can't keep taking hits. Can they be reinforced? What other defenses can be built -- for the city and the people in it, both?
CITY PATROL; ↬ Establish patrol routes and teams. Where are you patrolling, when? Is it more effective to patrol alone, or in groups? How do you determine who is responsible for what - or what you'll even do if you find something suspicious?
EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAM; ↬ Start devising some basic attack response plans. Where are safe areas? How will people - travelers and natives - know how to find them?
WELCOME COMMITTEE; ↬ How are you going to greet new Travelers into the city? What about any refugees? What can you do to make the transition for them from home to Asgard more comfortable?
STRIKE TEAM; ↬ Recruit. Plan. Decide who is capable of what - and who's going to be responsible for what.
SUPPLIES COORDINATORS; ↬ Inventory time. What do we have and where do we have it and where do we need to have it and how do we get more of what we don't have enough of. (Also, maybe: who will need what? And how do we get it to them?)
NOTES: You'll find two sections of headers in the comments below! One is for OOC plotting throughout the course of the month, whether you aim to handwave or actually RP what you decide out. The other is for "turning in" things that your group has decided/accomplished. This isn't mandatory at all but is just for your own ease! July is all about building foundations.
If two Engineers get together, build smoke bombs, and leave a basket of them in every Welcome House, you can make a note of that on the "turn in" section with a link to EITHER the IC threading of its creation OR the OOC planning of it. (I will be keeping an eye on these, so don't try to handwave more than your character could reasonably achieve!) Characters can do these things or anything else that they might icly decide to for their group, but this is just a jumping off point for people who need it!

Otherwise, he is also familiar with using guns of various types, is a capable rider when it comes to horses...and is also a level 3 Speed user which could be useful for a few different things such as a more mobile fighting unit or delivering messages or the like. And I think he may be one of the only Speed users in the city if not the only one left at this point, so there has to be some use for that somehow, hopefully.
Re: PLOTTING: MILITARY
So, yeah, training is going to be needed.
He's willing to whip up a round of weapons with his powers for anyone who's in need of them, too: Drawing Life lv. 3. He also knows a few basic runes and whatnot if those are helpful to anyone.

- He has Flight level 2, so he can scout. With the new system I imagine he’d get to level 3 pretty fast so he can deliver messages/get people out of danger/hit enemies from above.
- Recently he’s been learning runes, so that should be helpful.
- He really wants to help, but he has a terrible attitude so it’d be awesome if someone knocks him down a peg and calls him out on his bullshit.
Re: PLOTTING: MILITARY
Oh also I wanted to ask - should the characters actually have ranks like the thingy suggests? I know absolutely nothing about military of any kind, what ranks would we even use? And how would we determine (both IC and OOC) who gets which?

As for battle. sob. SO HE ONCE COMMANDED A CALVARY. He is likely to actively refuse command, but canonly he's VERY good at it (held the weakest point of their defences for some 450 years). He doesn't like command however, and prefers to be pointed at his target by someone. He is a bit of a berserker as well, likely to lose himself in battle. He has Bardic Influence Lvl 2 and is very creative in how he uses it, it being similar to what Tolkien elves can do with music anyway. I plan to get him up to 3 as well at some point - but if you need illusion, something to draw eyes away, things like that? Yeah.

As for training, he can train people in hand-to-hand combat, guns, and....shields. On the off chance that anyone but him would actually go to battle with a shield.

Her canon is a little tricky, because technically, Alice's fighting capabilities are in Wonderland, so they are literally a figment of her imagination. She taught herself to fight before getting into Asgard with knives back in Rutledge. She only took the offer to be trained because she had a realization in order to defend herself and her close friends, she had to train better. Anyway, Alice's stubborn streak hampers her, so yeah, she'll need more training. She's not the best at fighting, but also not the worst, so somewhere in between that.

She's also a former marine and ex-assistant director of one of those crazy global agencies. Knows how to organise others, plan and strategise. So many people

In any case, he will pretend to at least help. Satan has flight, last level, and he is incredibly fast. he can deliver messages, carry objects, or even work with other groups as courier, to let them know if anything is necessary or to know what is necessary for the Engineers to do (and spy on every group along the way).

During his off-hours at the store, Minato will be patrolling around the Freya area. And since he lives in Hel, that means he travels through Heimdall and Freyr as well going to work. While he's a formidable fighter, he'd feel better if he wasn't alone. Anyone able or willing to accompany him?
Edit: Forgot to add, he's a Shadow Control user LV 2. He also has experience with wielding a sword, and a couple other weaponry like axes and bows but the sword feels the most right for him.

Aside from just getting to know people, she's after learning more skills, starting, ideally, from weapons she doesn't know how to use (because she's been struggling with her gun).
Also she's been learning about runes from Aladdin, and hopes to contribute that way somehow.

PLOTTING: SUPPLIES COORDINATORS
no subject
She made this spell a while back, and it seems like it could be useful to the coordinators. The official details are:
By drawing the circle in one location, the user creates a "storage" area. Users can either "withdraw" or "deposit" items from this storage area by drawing the rune elsewhere. If depositing, the item must be placed on the circle. If summoning, the item will appear within the circle.
Restrictions:
Items stored must be of the same type (all fruits, for example). One storage container or room is allowed per person. If the user would like to change the item type stored, they must redraw the circle.
Since people could still technically take from the room or container without using magic, it would allow the original caster to simply transport specific items much more quickly in emergencies. It would probably work best if people who are quickest at reaching other destinations were the ones who used the spell, so that they could act as suppliers without having to worry about the items themselves weighing them down, thus speeding up the process.
Y/N/Revisions or suggestions welcome?

Leonardo, Tony Stark, and Aladdin got together to come up with a light armor prototype that holds runes for added protection. Aladdin's rune array consists of heat pocket (to protect the wearer from fire damage and high temperatures), Unbreakable (for durability), Camouflage (to help the wearer blend in better), Wind Resistance (lessens the drag air currents have on the armor making movement easier), Notice Me Not (to help the wearer go by unnoticed), and Amplification (to increase the power of the runes the wearer wishes it to).
This is just a prototype of course and changes might be made with further testing.
