OPTIONAL SCENARIO: After your character receives his or her bracelet and the run-down from the faceless maids in the castle, they walk out to find the city blanketed with snow and in the middle of what seems to be a snowball war organized by the Native children! Be careful on your way to your Welcome House: snowballs are flying, and these groups of giggling kids don't seem to care who gets caught in the crossfire.

Sorry, but I can't tell you. I'm pretty sure that defeats the entire purpose of the club.

You could probably call it a sports club, though. And before you ask, it's not any kind of fighting, either. [Not that any school would let its students get away with carrying around knives...]

We're kind of out in the middle of nowhere. Even if we did have powers for some reason, there's no one else around to fight.

[Still lying. But it's semi-truthful in that Yusuke himself has no powers, even if his classmates certainly do.]

You read too much manga if you seriously think something like that would happen.

But in this case, it's like one of those series where you don't learn magic until you find yourself dragged to another world, right? And up until this point, you've just been a regular person.

...Though I guess if you keep pulling people from different worlds, you're bound to get someone who might really be the hero of legend or whatever, huh?

Haha, I guess so. Maybe we'll meet a real monster slaying hero around the corner! Heck, you could be a hero of legend pretending to be a normal high school student from a sports club.

But that's the perfect set up for a manga protagonist if you think about it. With your martial arts and strong bonds with your friends, evil stands no chance.

[Or... something like that, right? Yusuke's admittedly not that much of a manga person. Going all the way to the city from out in the middle of the forest just wasn't really worth it.]

Not really. I told you, I'm out in the middle of nowhere, right? It takes a while for anything to get into town from Tokyo, and getting into the town proper is way too much of a pain.
