DECEMBER TEST DRIVE

THE TEST DRIVE MEME

• Got a character you're thinking of reserving/apping this round? PUT THEM HERE!
• Threads here can count as your third person sample!
• Comment with your character's name and canon!
• This is open to everyone! Also, test drivers can tag other test drivers. :)
• Make up your own scenario or have them walk into all the doors or leave it blank for others to do it for you!

Reserves are here, and open on November 24th at 12:01AM CST. Application information (including the list of pending apps) is here,
and they open on December 1st at 12:01AM CST.
OPTIONAL SCENARIO: After your character receives his or her bracelet and the run-down from the faceless maids in the castle, they walk out to find the city blanketed with snow and in the middle of what seems to be a snowball war organized by the Native children! Be careful on your way to your Welcome House: snowballs are flying, and these groups of giggling kids don't seem to care who gets caught in the crossfire.

Make sure to have fun, and as always, feel free to hit the mods or players up with any questions you might have! ♥

[ Jack lived in his own little world. And it was no bigger than a town too. So what was perfectly acceptable and considered (though the term is being used ever so loosely here) normal for him was absolutely bonkers and even down right terrifying for others. Which, in retrospect, is also normal for him. Scaring is what he does best.

Well, that and singing catchy tunes and dancing over graves.

Also normal, by the way.
]

Of course! He is very loud on full moon nights but otherwise a terrifyingly pleasant fellow. [ The skeleton's body had found its way to his head, don't ask how, and was crouching down by the buried bone. It refrained from picking it up just yet and, instead, started to dig some of the snow away to allow the dog better access.

Jack was never one to deny a dog a spot of fun.

And when enough snow was cleared away for him to see, Jack blinked --yes, blinked-- to get some of the flakes from his eyes before catching sight of Will.
]

Why hello there! [ He grins his big grin while his body took a moment to dust the snow from his lower jaw. ] It's easier to carry a conversation when you can see one another, wouldn't you agree?
infomodder: my eyes are down here (hanni i stg)

i hope you enjoy it! i thought it was fun.

[What is going on what is going on skeletons are the inside parts of humans and humans are dead so skeletons can show and so if he sees a skeleton it's dead and also buried or standing up or on a table to be studied. Skeletons are most certainly not dressed so well (doesn't that just remind him of someone...), walking, or talking. They certainly aren't giving a dog more room to toy with his (yes, his, apparently) skull like he has some great sense of humor.

What in the hell.

What in the Hel.

Oh God, he's in Hel, isn't he? He's dead!

The dog is having fun, at least. And well-behaved enough to lick the hand, not bite at it (there is no cannibalism or boneism or whatever in Will Graham's world, not anymore), but it's still...bones! And Will is clearly not used to being talked to by a bag of bones, because when he sees himself being seen by nonexistent eyes, he actually takes a step back.
]

Yes. But. [Don't be rude don't be rude he has no eyes somehow he can see him he doesn't need this brought up he doesn't need it rude rude rude he won't be rude] I've never talked to a skeleton before.

[no

no that is bullshit
]

I've never talked to a skeleton that talked back.

[ His body reached over and patted the canine on the head gently. Being a dog person himself, Jack was always particular fond of these animals, whether they were alive or dead.

Jack had noticed the man taking that step back and found himself to be most pleased that he could still surprise others with just his head. Though, perhaps a touch of Shakespeare would be in order next time, just for fun. But suddenly, up goes his skull as his bony hands plucked him up from the snow and his view now flipping over so that Will was no longer standing upside down to him.
]

Then you should reconsider who you keep for company. [ Popping his skull back into place now, he made sure it was secure before straightening his bow tie too. ] I've found some dead men that tell fantastic tales!

[ His chipper demeanor continues when he reached inside of his clothing and into his chest, feeling for a rib bone. As he snaps it off and pulls it out, he waves it above the dog. ]

You want to play fetch?

[ Jack, focus. Stop being distracted by the doggy. ]
infomodder: I KNOW WHAT'S REAL. (DON'T TELL ME WHAT'S REAL)

[This is not real, this is not real, this is not really happening. There is not a skeleton putting his skull on in front of Will. There is not a skeleton talking to him. There is not a bizarrely finely-dressed skeleton dallying in the snow. This cannot be real.

And then he goes and pulls out a rib like he does it all the time, and Will finds himself almost incapable of believing he's not asleep. It's too cold, though. He can't be bundled up in a bed with dogs and blankets and still be this cold. He's not sick anymore. It doesn't make sense.

None of this makes sense, but good Lord, does his dog ever look pleased by this change of events. Up she goes on her hind legs, tail wagging. Yes, she wants to play fetch with a dead man's rib. Yes, she doesn't even appear to be bothered by it.

This is really happening, and Will finds himself struck dumb. Fortunately he's not rude enough to just reach out and touch him. He's all but had rudeness beaten out of him.

As well as anything that makes sense because what the hell is going on?
]

Dead men can tell you just about anything if you know how to look. [He can find footing with a skeleton. Yes, he can do this. They can talk about dead and being dead and all sorts of things that are dead. And dogs, apparently, since he seems to be so good with them.] She's good at fetch, by the way. She'll bring it back every time.

So. You been here long, uh...what's your name?

[If it's something the Dead Tuxedo Roberts, Will is going to leave.]
