DECEMBER TEST DRIVE

THE TEST DRIVE MEME

• Got a character you're thinking of reserving/apping this round? PUT THEM HERE!
• Threads here can count as your third person sample!
• Comment with your character's name and canon!
• This is open to everyone! Also, test drivers can tag other test drivers. :)
• Make up your own scenario or have them walk into all the doors or leave it blank for others to do it for you!

Reserves are here, and open on November 24th at 12:01AM CST. Application information (including the list of pending apps) is here,
and they open on December 1st at 12:01AM CST.
OPTIONAL SCENARIO: After your character receives his or her bracelet and the run-down from the faceless maids in the castle, they walk out to find the city blanketed with snow and in the middle of what seems to be a snowball war organized by the Native children! Be careful on your way to your Welcome House: snowballs are flying, and these groups of giggling kids don't seem to care who gets caught in the crossfire.

Make sure to have fun, and as always, feel free to hit the mods or players up with any questions you might have! ♥
eyesofwonder: They should label these chimneys (Mistake ~ Oops)

Jack would be so proud right now

[The little minions had indeed did a good job of distracting North. The Christmas Spirit had spent the last few minutes dodging quick throws and bombarding the other side in retaliation. Occasionally, a few of the snowballs connected - leading North to laugh harder and aim a little payback at the child.

He thought he saw a quick glimpse of something familiar. Yet by the time he looked, it was already gone and another child was trying to pelt him with a snowball.

Needless to say, North was pretty caught off guard when their leader came out of hiding. He didn't even had a chance to think (Jamie?) before wow look out that's a lot of snowballs.]

Ha! [He dodged the first and the second and the third. Unfortunately for North, there were too many sent his way.] Ah! Jam- [North's shoulder, belly and beard are quickly covered with snow. Good job kids but North sends them a look of mock frustration (ruined completely by his grin) and is starting to bend down to collect his own ammunition.]
firstbeliever: (Yeah Do It)

He would~ This is why it's a terrigood idea for Guardians to show up when there's snow

[All of the kids burst out into laughter when North is hit with multiple snow balls, Jamie included. Though at the sight of the big man collecting his own ammo they squeal in excitement and break off to attempt to avoid the retaliation.]

[Not Jamie though. He stands his ground and only has part of his body sticking up from the snow mound they built up earlier.]

Welcome to Asgard, Santa! You're just in time!

[Jamie starts scooping up more snow.]
eyesofwonder: Of COURSE you want to be a Guardian, Who wouldn't? (Kidding ~ Oh good joke guys)

Always a good idea~ Snow makes them as old as the kids they watch I swear

[It IS Jamie. With the other children rushing off in every other direction, North was able to see the boy far more easier. For North, it was a relief to see Jamie unharmed and, at the moment, quite happy. Later, North would deal with the conflicting sight (Asgard was the last place he had wanted to see the Burgess children but he was happy to see Jamie again as well).

Now however, it was time to focus on some friendly good old-fashioned revenge. Getting Jamie away from the snowbank would be the challenge.]

It is good to see you again Jamie. I see you already brought your welcoming party. Just in time to add to Naughty List!

[Kidding. There's absolutely no way Jamie would land on that one this year. Though what isn't a joke is the large snowball heading in Jamie's direction. Part of the child's body or not, a target is a target. North quietly hides the other snowball in his free hand - waiting for Jamie to accidentally reveal himself.]
firstbeliever: (And Then I...)

The Guardians are a bunch of giant kids at heart anyway

[personal profile] firstbeliever 2013-11-24 06:38 am (UTC)(link)
[North can join the other Guardians in feeling that way at seeing, well any kid in general, being pulled here. They all felt that way - especially when faced with the one kid they know from home. Jamie tries not to think about the bad stuff that happened and instead focuses on moments like this one.]

[What's better than playing with Santa in the snow as a welcome to the alien city?]

[At that Jamie only grins bigger.]

I haaaave been spending a lot of time with Jack lately. And these guys have been too.

[Woah! That is a freakishly large snowball. Just ducking isn't going to be an option, so he darts to the side. OPENING! He's open.]

You got here just in time for Christmas! We have to make our own here. [And now it's going to be the best one Asgard has ever seen now that North has shown up.]
eyesofwonder: Everyone loves the sleigh. (Smug ~ Still better than Easter)

Yes but now they're big kids with cold projectiles. +1 on the awesome scale

[personal profile] eyesofwonder 2013-11-24 08:36 am (UTC)(link)
[It is standard issue for the Guardians to be concerned about the children in this kind of environment. Jamie especially. The writing is probably hidden somewhere in that giant-Guardian-book-that-really-only-needed-one-page.]

Jack is here as well? [They can see him? The news comes as a surprise to North - making him pause a little on enacting his fake vengeance. Though that did explain why the kids were covering him in snow so well. And Christmas was when?! It was just Easter when he was pulled away. Wait. Priorities first. He can grab Jack and see if there are any other Guardians around afterwards.

Now it's payback time.]
Ha! That explains! The children dodge faster than I can throw. [North smiles a little smugly and throws his hidden one. INCOMING SNOWBALL JAMIE.]

Make our- Excellent! We'll make it a Christmas to remember! [Said with all the certainty and enthusiasm fitting to Father Christmas.]
firstbeliever: (Of Course I Want To Do The Thing)

we all know they can be the biggest kids on the planet, especially with snow

[personal profile] firstbeliever 2013-11-27 08:54 am (UTC)(link)
[So far none of the Guardians have outright stated their outrage about Jamie being here. Not to him anyway. Who knows what they talk about when he goes to bed.]

Yeah! A lot of the native kids love him. [All around him the kids started saying Jokul Frosti excitedly. Jack has definitely made an impression on the natives.]

[The snowball hits Jamie in the chest and he stumbles backwards a couple of steps before retaliating with his own.]
Practice. Lots of practice.

With you here it'll be the best Christmas ever. [As weird as it would have been to celebrate without Father Christmas, they would have done it to make North proud.]
eyesofwonder: How can you NOT trust this face? (Happy ~ Team Unites)

Definitely. They'd start playing with the kids and then start cheating to hit each other instead.

[Knowing the Guardians, they are most likely whispering what on Earth the Gods were thinking when they brought kids into this. Seriously, how deep does Jamie sleep? This group isn't exactly the quiet type.

North's smile turns a little less excitement to a more gentle one at the sight of the children. Being seen and knowing another Guardian is here may be a lot to take in at once but this is heartwarming all the same. Especially when led by Jack's very own first believer. Not bad Jack.

Jamie's snowball catches him in his distraction but he throws another few to make up for it.]

Yes I see! Should be running into another ambush any minute I expect. Still – much to learn Jamie. [One curves really high into the air before heading towards the top of Jamie's head.] Ha! Yes. We will give them a day they will never forget! I can count on your help, yes? [North would be so proud regardless. His work being spread even when he isn't there? So touching.]
