MONTHLY TEST-DRIVE!

THE TEST DRIVE MEME
• Got a character you're thinking of reserving/apping this round? PUT THEM HERE! • Threads here can count as your third person sample! • Comment with your character's name and canon! • This is open to everyone! Also, test drivers can tag other test drivers. :) • Make up your own scenario or have them walk into all the doors or leave it blank for others to do it for you! • OPTIONAL SCENARIO: After your character receives his or her bracelet and the run-down from the faceless maids in the castle, they may realize that Asgard is, for the moment, completely overrun with furry animals! The city's natives are busy trying to herd cats and dogs out of the streets, the park is thronged with friendly and curious rabbits, and a small army of capybaras seems to have started a parade around the castle. Something is going on -- the natives seem exasperated as anything. Help them out? Adopt a ferret? Try to wade through goats to make it to your welcome house? At least they're non-aggressive.. for now! Make sure to have fun, and as always, feel free to hit the mods or players up with any questions you might have! ♥ |

It's only a few seconds before it comes to her. The means justifies the ends. Although Milla, as a general rule, has little to no tact, she has enough now to refrain from saying that aloud. Some memories are better left unstirred. Is that another human sentiment she's been taught? She supposes so. Fortunately, it's not difficult to find an opening to change the subject.
"Ah, yes. You're correct." A beat. "That reminds me, I never did find a chance to read the latest volume of Men and Women Beneath the Sheets after Jude seemed reluctant to..."
Well, that's a thought to contemplate another day. "But... I agree. Let's try your method."

"But sure, pick a person, any person." Alvin waves his hands toward the people who are focused on helping with the animals. "I'll walk up and get us going, but I trust your judgment here."

She means that sincerely, even if it doesn't seem like it. Her endless fascination with humanity extends to her companions, perhaps even more so than usual. It's a somewhat dubious honour. Really, that was why she hadn't discouraged the "bet" in the first place.
Milla turns her attention to the small crowds of people here and there, walking forward a few steps to get a better look at everything that's going on. Furry balls of chaos everywhere, basically, with some larger animals thrown in for good measure. It's quite possibly the only time she actually wishes Ivar were here.
"Those struggling with the goats look the most likely to accept aid," she gestures in their direction. Well, the goats do appear to be blocking most of the routes to the houses. "I trust you'll be able to convince them, Alvin."
Admittedly, it really isn't what she envisioned as part of being the real Maxwell. Lord of Spirits: goat handler. But, she supposes, it could be worse.

Wow, he really did learn how to be quite the sentimentalist. (Or relearned, sometimes Alvin recognizes that he kicked a lot of these habits.) Being around Milla and the others really taught him some terrible habits. Good thing he was still just as bad at talking about his feelings, or else he'd almost be as frustrating as Jude.
"One mercenary special, coming right up."
Alvin leaves Milla's side to go talk to the goat handlers. After a few minutes—which involve Alvin learning forward and winking, patting a goat on the head, and shrugging like everything's okay—he's handed a piece of paper and something that looks like currency. He waves his hand and walks back over to Milla. "They were almost too happy to accept our help. 'Oh, great travellers, we wouldn't want to put you out. How can we repay your kindness?' The works. It reminded me of Nia Khera." He then waves the piece of paper in Milla's face. "But I got us a map. Problem is, they said there isn't a way out. But there should be more than enough food to sate the hungriest Lord of Spirits of all."
