The city's natives are busy trying to herd cats and dogs out of the streets, the park is thronged with friendly and curious rabbits, and a small army of capybaras seems to have started a parade around the castle. Something is going on -- the natives seem exasperated as anything. Help them out? Adopt a ferret? Try to wade through goats to make it to your welcome house? At least they're non-aggressive.. for now! Make sure to have fun, and as always, feel free to hit the mods or players up with any questions you might have! ♥

Princess Aurora || Disney's Sleeping Beauty

[Having pricked her finger, Aurora wasn't sure if she was dead. Some part of her was sure this was Maleficent's doing but this place and those who called themselves gods was... Well she wasn't really sure what to expect. Regardless, this felt like the forest with so many animals. She longed for her own friends, for her aunts... for that peasant boy. She didn't know when or even if she would see them again. The last she knew was to be denied to her as she was to marry the prince.

Aurora was strolling along and paused when so many cats and rabbits and birds were just running around. She had never been in a town before, much less a city. She looked up as ab owl was watching her closely.]

Why hello there. [Aurora meant for the address to be towards the owl, however it was easy to mistake her greeting to any passerby.]

[Elphaba's somewhat distracted right now, rewatching the post that came with the guide. She doesn't spare a glance upward from her bracelet to Aurora as she speaks.]

[Oh! Aurora turned to look at... she took a deep breath. No, no this wasn't and couldn't be Maleficent. The initial panic gone for the moment, she had a feeling Maleficent wouldn't be quite so kind upon entering this world... or to her, for that matter.]

Might... you know way around? I'm afraid I'm lost, having just arrived here.

[She looks up, just as the video comes to an end, and--well. She shakes her head.]

Unfortunately, I've only just arrived as well. I don't know the way around either.

[Aurora nods.]

It would seem we are both trying to figure things out. [She tried to offer a smile, though she didn't much feel it. It was nothing against the other woman, merely the confusion of the day... and the means of how she arrived.]

I am B- [She paused and stopped for a breath. Should she call herself by the name she grew up with or the one that was her birth right? Both were her's... she supposed she would have to get used to being called it as well. Or perhaps it did not matter in this place.] I am Aurora.

[She catches that "b" sound, but she lets it slide for now.]

Elphaba. And before you ask, no, I didn't eat grass as a child nor am I perpetually seasick. I've always been green. [Her tone is a mix of sarcasm and resignation--she's been through this before, many times.]

[Aurora blinked only for a moment.]

Oh, forgive me, but I had not intended to ask about your skin color. I had simply thought you were born with it. [Her aunts were faeries with wings, she had been placed under a spell by a green woman with horns, green skin was just something to acknowledge in her life, not question.]

You must get that question quite a bit though.

[Oh. Well, that's something of a relief.]

Throughout my whole life, yes. [A shrug, then, dryly:] These days they just run in the other direction first, though.

It is a lovely shade of green. But no, I did not think to run, you've not given me reason to. [This was not home, while her aunts would tell her to avoid strangers, can she really do that here? Part of a war, the maid had said. What could she do during a way?

The owl behind Aurora gave a soft "hoo."]

[She gives a soft laugh, and smiles somewhat.]

That's a compliment I never thought I'd get. [Her tone implies that she doesn't quite believe Aurora's words.] And as for running--well, thank you for not doing so immediately, it's been a while.

I'm not about to run away now for the same reason I did not at the beginning. [Aurora offered a smile.]

I was headed to the welcome hall, slowly, but that is my final destination.

I was headed to the library, but if it's on the way, maybe I can accompany you to your welcome hall.

[Aurora honestly had no idea.] I will walk with you then and I suppose we can part ways at the library. If that is alright?

Thank you, Elphaba. I admit, I... this was not really what I expected, though I suppose no one expects to be brought to another world to help fight a war. I'm afraid I will not know how to be of much use. Before now, I never even left my forest and now, this strange place.
