monthly test drive!!

THE TEST DRIVE MEME

• Got a character you're thinking of reserving/apping this round? PUT THEM HERE!
• Threads here can count as your third person sample!
• Comment with your character's name and canon!
• Make up your own scenario or have them walk into all the doors or leave it blank for others to do it for you!

OPTIONAL SCENARIO: After your character receives his or her bracelet and the run-down from the faceless maids in the castle, the first thing they realize upon stepping outside is that the city has been all but shut down for some sort of large festival. There are stalls set up along all of the main streets, selling everything from savory foods to desserts to clothes to trinkets, and the vendors cheerfully call at people as they pass, trying to entice them over. The stalls are all decked in incredibly colorful banners and flags, as if attempting to beat back the grayness still lurking in a lot of the city by sheer physical force. Small musical ensembles play on street corners, and one can't go far at all without nearly running into someone juggling or swallowing swords. Good luck finding your god's welcome house in this chaos - the streets are pretty packed with people just milling around!

And have fun! ♥

Even if he doesn't recognize her at a brief glance, there's no mistaking her savior. Never could Freya forget the person who was once so kind and caring to her when no one else was. It doesn't even matter if all she can see is his back. Luckily the man isn't unfriendly, rather, he's a bit overly-friendly. Both hands are held up in surrender before he backs away and moves off to find some other lady.

Freya shifts a little closer to Merlin, the last time she saw him, she was dying in his arms. She can only assume that seeing her will be a bit of a shock. "Is this a habit of yours, Merlin, rescuing girls you just so happen to come across?"

That voice. The last time he'd heard it had been so long ago, and she'd slipped away again before they could do anything with the extra time they'd been given.

Merlin turns, and though he tries, he isn't prepared to see her again, alive and well. "Freya," he says, practically breathing out her name. He musters a watery smile. "Nah, I just save it all up for you, I guess."

His hand reaches out and curls loosely around her wrist, like he's making sure she's really there. "It's good to see you again."

It comes at no surprise the way he says her name or grabs her wrist. There's no struggle to pull away though she does twist her arm a bit so she can grip his sleeve, putting weight into that hold to confirm that she's not slipping through his fingers.

In return for his watery smile, Freya's is soft and happy. "That's another one I owe you." Something she intends to stick around to pay back.

"I'm glad you're here." Not just because of the rescue or how nice it is to see a familiar face. A great deal of it is simply because it's Merlin.

"You don't owe me anything, Freya." Merlin's hand tightens slightly. How could she when she's already helped him in their darkest hour? Without her help, he never would have figured out how to defeat the immortal army.

It's around then that Merlin comes out of the daze he's fallen into, eyes widening. "Come on, I'll take you to the others. Are you hungry? Tired? Cold?"

Now that his surprise has worn off, he hovers around her with worry.
