Doctor -> Ushahin
The thing that stood out to the Doctor the very most about Ushahin was the way he talked about and to the TARDIS. Which was always in a very good way. For that reason alone the Doctor is, naturally, inclined to like Ushahin a lot. Ushahin is an odd one that the Doctor really doesn't know just what to do about, but he doesn't have anything against him, not at all. There are just... a lot of question marks all over.
John -> Sophie
In very simple terms, John likes Sophie. A lot. She looks young, but it's obvious she's been through a lot and is very wise for her age. She brings out something protective in him, really, because there's something sad about her and, well, she looks young. She's like. A kid. Or something. Close enough.
She's sort of managed to catch him at very vulnerable moments where he's ended up saying more than he's comfortable with, and for this reason he really hopes she can be trusted and sort of wants to trust her. Which is... well, something. Something good.

Ushahin --> Doctor
Honestly, Ushahin was way more interested in the TARDIS than in the Doctor, but then she left. He really is an odd one, because he's legitimately mad, from some combination of the things that have happened to him and just plain old seeing and knowing too much. The Doctor's cheerful acceptance of Ushahin being mad was what made him likeable at first. Now, he occasionally pings Ushahin as being a cheerful Tanaros (tl;dr Ushahin was one of three Generals for Satoris, who is basically a god. Tanaros was another, who came into Satoris' service after he strangled his wife to death for having an affair with his bff the King (who he also killed) and bearing his bastard child. 1200 years later, Tanaros still hasn't let go of the murdery thing he did and holds himself apart from other people) and occasionally pings him as a madling and occasionally pings him as more or less an equal. Very changable, the Doctor! He belongs to the TARDIS, as far as Ushahin is concerned, which is why Ushahin will keep looking out for him to some extent. He'll also mess with him and be deliberately obtuse because why not, but if he actually asked questions Ushahin would answer them.
Sophie --> John
Sophie likes John! Hilariously, she is also kind of protective over him. She's noticed that there's something kind of...brittle...about the Holmses and Watsons and Conan and people like that. Their thinking isn't really accommodating of something like Asgard, or really even of someone like her. This is the main reason she doesn't talk about herself much to him--there's not a ton of things she can talk about that don't hit something magical. She does trust him, though, and she'd trust him to protect her like Watson did. They're completely different people to her, but she's kind of...aware of where their traits overlap, if that makes sense. I'm pretty sure she leaves them baked goods on the doorstep for John to find when he comes home from work on at least a weekly basis. Obviously they need to talk more. (Possibly in the Freyr logs, since Sophie's gonna get pretty messed up, but if he sees her once she's injured the whole black blood thing might be a...thing. Yeah.)

Haha I should hope he's changeable, with all the years and all the other incarnations behind him. And Eleven being Eleven. This pleases me.
Baked goods aw bless you, Sophie, you are the sweetest and bestest. (At this point he wouldn't even blink at the black blood tbh. Or, okay, he'd blink, and be curious. But not freaked out! Which is something.)
