The Doctor worries about Soushi. A lot. He worries a bit about everyone but it's just. Really necessary to worry about Soushi somehow. He's a friend and the Doctor really cares about him and considers him important, but there is and always has been something really sad about Soushi. Sad and tragic. So the Doctor worries. Someone should. He's probably not alone in that but. Still.

It doesn't really matter much to him that it's another Soushi in Asgard right now. The main thing is that the Doctor thought he couldn't worry more about him, but obviously he could. This one seems even more damaged, so the Doctor tries to tread carefully, but firmly. With purpose.

Mostly, he just wants Soushi to trust him again. It seems to be getting there, which he's glad for. There's progress!

He wants it especially much because he can't quite understand this one, too. It's difficult to place Soushi anywhere so if that's what Soushi wants, he is definitely succeeding. It's clear to the Doctor that to understand - really understand - Soushi, Soushi has to let him understand. So that's the point he's aiming for.

oh man. yeah. this Soushi...he is both harder, but easier to figure out and get close to. this version is extremely complex that sometimes i have trouble with him too. he can be...bi-polar at times or just testing people's limits. he is an odd ball as you can tell in their recent threads.

he would definitely appreciate how the Doctor is trying to get to know him as him because no one bothers to do that in his canon. it will be weird though. he isn't use to others feeling any bit of concern for him, so there might be some backlash at his end. i doubt there will be though. right now, he is in a stage that he won't dirty his hands because he will need all the allies he can get.

but yes, Doctor, you are getting there. just. this Soushi needs to break the whole "everyone wants past!Soushi" mentality, then we will be even better. i think most likely it will happen when this Soushi will remove his mask and be himself. i just need to canon update him. but until then, let's see how much their cr can develop until september/october. C:
