Davesprite does not know why he keeps talking to Henry. Maybe it's the crow in him, because he's fairly sure it's borderline masochistic to talk to someone who likes to kill so much. He's morbidly fascinated by Henry's morbid fascination, and the fact he's so cheerful all the time is kind of eerie. But Davesprite finds the way he thinks genuinely interesting, if only because it toggles between bizarre childish wonder and sophisticated brutality, if that terminology even makes sense. Also, he tried to rap for him, which is like. A hilariously huge point in Henry's favor. He is, in his way, a funny guy.
The fact he responded so positively to Davesprite's appearance was really fucking weird. Actually, the way he responded to the whole TEEN MOM HITS ON EVERYONE debacle was weird, but Davesprite appreciates that. Nothing can phase Henry! Not even talk of meteors and omnipotent dbags. It makes him less reluctant to bring up anything Sburb-related, honestly, since he doesn't think Henry will really prod for answers. And it doesn't hurt he thinks this crow kid is the raddest thing since the invention of the vinyl record. Or spiked iron fences with dead bodies on them. Whatever.
Davesprite is also kind of fascinated by Henry's view of death. As someone who's doomed and more or less resigned to the fact he is totally fucked, the fact Henry is so optimistic (in his twisted way) about death is. New. Even though death is a standard feature of Sburb and comes complete with resurrection—really, if we're technical, it's more the idea of ceasing to exist that gets Davesprite at this point—he's never knowingly met someone so ok with it. A part of him would just really like to understand why.
And he's totally going to find a Mr. T puppet, so Henry has that in his future.

I really like their CR and Henry makes me want to play Fire Emblem, haha. I'M JUST SORRY I'VE BEEN SO SLOW.
