The TL;CR Meme

one: post with your characters.
two: respond to other people's characters with your characters.
three: they tell you in detail what their character thinks of your character. TL;DR is encouraged; that's how this works.
four; optional: discuss it with them if you want! Make a big chain of tl;dr if you're up to it.
five: other people do the same thing to you! Maybe you even harvest your tl;dr to use in a CR chart later.
six: keep checking back in so that no one is ever late!

(Shamelessly gakked from places.)

So sometimes Alice has the tendency to act a bit childish. SERIOUSLY, BIRDFACE.

But no. It's a tad hypocritical for Alice here to be unnerved by anyone's curiosity, given how she is. This is just from Alice just being very self-critical of herself and not having a lot of self-esteem that she'd be good at anything in particular. There's something there, however, something she can't put her finger on and it feels like she'd somehow would have another interesting conversation with him, especially on the topic of ignorance and sanity. Also mind control.

She's naturally weary of men that are little older than her, especially after her timeline. Alice is always going to be on edge, no matter what, that's from a heap load of paranoia and what they call "hyper vigilance" in terms of trauma and psychosis.

Aw Alice your life has been hard :( He would assassinate the fuck out of the dudes responsible if they were here.

They should totally have more conversations. Curious people from such different worlds being curious at each other.

Oh, dude, never worry, I back tag into infinity!

Art and crafts is fantastic when you have a lot going on in your mind. And to me, Alice was definitely a creative child and she still has a wild imagination as a young adult. It's a small headcanon I have that she's actually got some talent in arts and crafts, so there's that. Around Alice's time, impressionism is at it's high point and I doubt Alice was exposed to that much art or artists in the slums of London. I think a reasonable reaction for Alice when she meets someone (in)famous is just generally like "oh, cool, it's nice to meet you!" because she's been through enough stuff and has just accepted Asgard is a weird place.

Forgive the pun, but, uh. Being around the close vicinity of a master of art is exciting! Like, she's looking at Leo with a wide-eye child's awe, really excited at the prospect of seeing his work up front and asking a bunch of questions in the process. Of course Alice loves visuals (i.e. complaining about the lack of book illustrations as a kid) and him being so open about it really makes her happy. Alice doesn't get happy a lot :(

Aha, I apologize for the delay. X_x;

But yes. Oh, boy.

This is.. actually something I can semi-relate to with Alice. I am not sure how familiar you are with the McGee canon, but it's pretty common knowledge Alice suffered a lot of self-loathing, survivor's guilt, psychosis, fear, and trauma after the death of her family. Not to mention, the years she endured at Rutledge and the year she spent in a new caregiver, the older Alice has had a pretty bleak life. The way I see Alice is that she's not really that "insane" in my eyes. People who suffer from deep trauma have the tendencies to suffer from psychotic episodes that include hallucinations, irritability, hyper-vigilance, and aren't exactly clear of mind, because you do fight off those memories. She suffered from a primordial medical system, that was deep-rooted in class warfare and gender dynamics. As such, I think Alice even started to believe over time that she was "mad" and she had no hope for her.

In trauma, you radically change, of course; Alice used to be very polite, formal, soft-spoken and that's not the case of it anymore. I've done my best to keep in mind the old Alice by watching different variations of her to boot. Anyway, the point I'm getting at here, you can look at your past life after something horrific and it's literally like looking at another person. What makes this different is that, in a sense, it is a different person. It's her younger self. While Alice has overcome a lot in the past two games, there's still something hard for her to let go of the pain she feels, because she only knew that pain for 11 years. It's helping her by looking after little Alice, because it's doing what she couldn't do for herself as a child and finally breaking down the high standards she wanted to hold.

And yet, at the same time, she knows they're the same, but not really. She looks at little Alice as a little sister she has to look out for, modeling herself after her older sister, Lizzie. That eases her, too, because it comes back to a way to forgive herself, by looking after her. If that makes sense XD. She will do everything in her power to see her happy, smiling, protected, and away from harm. It's painful, too, to watch her, because it reminds her of that life she lost. But she feels if she does what she can to shield this little girl from it, she's done something good. Alice loves children, too, I think she makes a pretty good older sister by default, because of her strong sense of justice now to protect children. Little Alice will just be the one she'll go above and beyond to secure. Scary enough, during that security blanket event, Alice was starting to border on yandere XD; as in "if they look at her funny, I will kill them".

So, yes. It helps her, it really does, even if it took her a while to even call her "Alice", because she herself wasn't so sure. It's a bundle of issues, some sort of weird identity crisis and focusing on the fact she's got a little girl to look out for and it beats remembering terrible things. She brightens up her day when she speaks to her, it makes her happy. Alice smiles a lot around her, which she barely does.

So now that I'm not comatose or exhausted...

In Regina's world, nephilim don't really have a great connection with either the human or demon world that brings them to being. Typically, most nephilim don't know their fathers and they are either tormented by their remaining family or society. What fuels nephilim in her world is that source of pain that they feel, that they are unstable beings with unnatural powers they will never control, and of course, as you seen, they will snap and attempt to eat people. So because of that, nephilim have a very big pack-like mentality. They really don't have anyone solid to turn to except for the limited family they have and other half-bloods. As it is, nephilim rarely turn on each other, they always look out for one another, support, defend, and care for each other. Wales (her home) doesn't exactly have a lot of nephilim, but Ireland does because of it's Pagan leanings. (And supposedly, that the people of Ireland are descendants of Gog and Maggog, it's really interesting with the Irish Book of Invasions)

Regina has a lot of sympathy for Sam. Sam is going to be the only person in Asgard who really knows what it's like to be a half-blood with little or no control over themselves at times and literally fighting off the demonic part of their blood. Mordred may come second in terms of her religion, but Sam really is. And since Regina has actually been with a group of nephilim, more of than not, her loyalty is going to be with nephilim. Regina is actually pretty wishy-washy when it comes to loyalty, as that will be seen in her future. She's got no problem throwing people under a bus to protect herself, but she will not do that with another half-demon, especially another woman. I think it's safe to assume, Sam here is one of the few people she can really be honest with, even have a gallow's humor when she jokes about eating human flesh, because hey, she'll get it and she knows how it is.

Not to mention, Regina will be protective. She's suffered so much in her younger years because of her mother being a queen and being half-blooded. She hates to think about it, but she wants to make sure she stays safe and never suffer that horrible prejudice that all half-demons go through. Although Regina is actually really surprised, relieved, and cautious that there hasn't been a really bad prejudice where they, uh, actually suffer physically. She trusts Sam will take care of herself, will do what she can to stay sound of mind, and stay out of trouble. There's also a lot of feelings of her being proud of Sam, in a sisterly way that she's been able to stay the way she is. Regina's got a no-kill policy, too, so even if things got really bad, she'd refuse to even do that to Sam. Seeing her stable gives Regina hope she will be, too.
