Okay. I guess I should begin explaining the way this Soushi looks at the Doctor as.
Weird. Unique. Difficult. Interesting. And just, why the hell can I not ignore you?
Those are usually the thoughts that go through this Soushi's mind whenever it comes to the Doctor. He finds him weird, but interesting. Yet, he can't help grow frustrated around him because he knows that his acting and manipulation skills aren't working against him. He knows that the Doctor knows that he isn't the past Soushi. A thought that makes him feel extremely uncomfortable over because he cannot help wonder if the Doctor will turn against him. While at the same time, it makes him wonder if the Doctor prefers the other Soushi over him because, well, the whole world seems to do that to him. A piece of him feels like he needs to be the past Soushi at all cost, so for someone to see right through him has never sat well with him. What makes it even more difficult is the way that they do not seem to mash well while the Doctor and previous Soushi got along extremely well. He is partially jealous and a little bitter over it because he finds it unfair.
This Soushi feels a little drawn towards the Doctor for reasons he cannot fully explain nor understand. He partially blames that pull due to the past Soushi. Even though he did not entirely inherited the past Soushi's soul nor memories, he does recognize that he did inherit his heart and instincts because the past Soushi's emotions were very strong even if he did keep them under tight wraps. Once this Soushi was able to read a few of their interactions through the devices, then he began to feel that very same pull. However, another piece of him wonders if that drawn is due to curiosity over him because he isn't normal. Just the idea of finding someone that is neither an Atavist or human has his instant interest. After all, no one in his world -- neither Atavist or humans -- accept him, so maybe he could find someone that can? He might not entirely understand nor recognize his current emotions due to many factors pertaining to his past, but he knows it has something to do with acceptance. He is trying to find a friend in the Doctor. It might be a little forced on his end, but he has forced himself through relationships in his world, so he is beginning to understand that maybe forcing it isn't the answer.
Other than having a difficult time trying to understand his emotions over the Doctor, Soushi does like the Doctor. He likes how he is patient, helpful, unique, and friendly. A piece of him might feel a bit of envy in the way the Doctor can change appearance and personality. Soushi wishes, more than anything, to have that very same power, but....only so he can change his form. He does not care for immortality. Soushi does wish to get to know him better, but he wants to keep a good distance between them. Again, he feels uncomfortable getting too close to him, but he still wants to get to know him better. It is an odd balance. He much rather ask other people more information about him rather than asking him directly because he feels that he will get rejected or be told off over it. He was taught to follow the social cues of others, so for him to be unable to understand nor recognize the Doctor's cues makes him nervous and uneasy.
TL;DR: So all in all, Soushi likes the Doctor. He finds him intriguing, but he also finds him too open for his liking. He wishes to be friends with him, but has no clue how to do it.

wow. the day the doctor ever says that, i think soushi will have no idea how to respond to that. 8| although, he would forever smile at the doctor though.....just he will....stare at him too.

Ever since they first met, Soushi did not expect to find someone who would tell him the things that he has actually wanted to hear which is to respect himself a little more and stop acting like a dog. It made him happy to hear from someone else that was not his master to stop. After all, he is forced to play a specific role, so the thought of being given the freedom to act like his true self has never come up. He is still loyal to his role in wanting to act the way he does now, just in case, his master finds his way to Asgard. But even so, Soushi showed a piece of his true self to Leonardo which is rather rare of him to do.
The toy plane was his first gift being given by someone out of his world, so it really did deeply touch him that someone would just give him an item. He isn't used to that type of kindness without some type of ulterior motive behind it or for the sake of of just giving it to him. No matter how much Soushi tries to give off the image of someone with experience, he will always be a small boy at heart. That was the very child that Leonardo got to see -- the true, pure side of this Soushi Miketsukami.
He felt comfortable talking to Leonardo and offering him ideas over creating a workshop, so once he realizes that the painter was able to do it, then he will personally congratulate him on achieving it. In truth, out of all the people in Asgard, Soushi actually wants Leonardo to succeed and live a good life there. He actually does genuinely like him, and feels like he owes him for showing him kindness and understanding, so he is actually trying his hardest to keep their promise of not trying not to put himself down. Sadly, though, Soushi is having a difficult time between choosing to remain playing the role of the past Soushi while trying to open himself as the current Soushi. For now, he has decided to slowly open himself to Leonardo if he does get the chance to speak to him again because he feels very comfortable around him.

Leo would be glad that he was able to bring Soushi out of his shell a bit. ^^ They will have to speak again, and maybe... just play with some toys? Haha! He does have a clockwork car in mind that could be fun to play with.

Soushi would play with it if Leo just tells him: "HERE. TEST DRIVE THIS FOR ME!" Otherwise, he would be too self-conscious to try it. xD Yes. This character is pretty odd at times. But yes, I am up to them playing with toys and talking some more. C: Soushi will definitely like having someone to talk and interact with without having to wonder if he should act like a certain person because of past CR.
