Yukari is the kind of girl that Nakama never would have pictured herself having a friendship with: she's pretty, seems popular, fashionable, has a boyfriend, all of those things that mark success for teenage girls and all things in which Nakama has failed. She expects scorn from such girls, and when Yukari is genuinely nice, it's a bit of a surprise and she doesn't know how to take it. She also poured out a lot of her past very early on with her, because that's just how the conversation went, and the two combine to make her a little bit uneasy with the girl most of the time.

But she gets the feeling that Yukari really does want to help her become a bit more relaxed and girly, even if she is a bit short sometimes, and wanting to help is something she can respect. No miniskirts, though >|
