He pulls her off, leading her through the crowd, and she laughs as he does. It doesn't matter that the magician isn't particularly innovative, Charley oohs and aahs and finishes her pasty and leans against the Doctor, not letting go of his hand.
Once the magician has finished his act (and Charley has let go of the Doctor's hand just long enough to applaud before claiming it again), Charley rests her head against the Doctor's shoulder, just a bit.
"I have to admit, the whole idea of this place is a bit much, even for me," she says. "Gods and magical powers and all that? Sounds like a bad adventure serial."
