She used to be the adversary. He knew they had to face her and take her down. She did after all take down his bro. Then she sent him away, and captured Roxy, puppeted Jade. It turned from a far off threat into something that's at your door waiting for you.

He was fine with just thinking about her and trying to figure out her game. Even here, he only tried to put her focus on him. Then, she made it absolutely personal. She wrecked his feather brother.

Now.

She's created the worst kind of enemy. He's well aware she's trying to rub everything in his face, but he no longer cares about any of that. She messed with family. He's going to be dogging her every step, kicking her plans with one heavy boot, and striding forward. She made it personal, and now he's going to do the same.

It won't be in the style of his ancestor. Not his brothers.

He's going to do it in the way he knows will get her most. He's going to get better, stronger, faster, hone his intelligence to a fine edge. While he's in a bad place right now, when he gets out of it, he's going to just climb upwards.

He's going to stop worrying about what's ahead and focus on now. And now is making her miserable and enraged. Because he won't be beaten. He won't fall. He fractures but he won't break.

He won't let her miss a moment of his glorious rise.

When the prince becomes a king, that's when he'll strike. The last words she'll ever hear, if he has his way is: "You made all of this possible."
