Well, let's get one thing straight first - if there was ever any cheating even so much as attempted, he would get shot down faster than he could say 'rejected', minus 9999 respect points, etcetera etcetera. Heck, even for a long time after them breaking up, she'd be excruciatingly hesitant about any such thing.
It's pretty ironic that self-esteem should come into at all, since frankly, when it comes to that particular romantic quadrant with that particular Strider, Naminé would be inclined to expect herself to be at a disadvantage as far as preference. To her, that choice may already be as well as made; he was already with Terezi in the first place, hence Naminé's assumption there would be that he would prefer Terezi/someone like her. Taste being what it is, she'd not suspect otherwise. Terezi's got more fire, after all, more energy and vibrance and general interest.
On that note, Naminé would also be quite quick to disagree with any sort of insinuation that she's a good person or pure in general. She's got plenty of her own faults, as far as she's concerned, and self-images being what they are, they're quite big ones, to her.
All folks with a last name starting in S aside, it'll be fun times when they actually do get to interact, probably involving inappropriate licking. She will be all over that ashen quadrant so fast, you have no idea. o((9))
It'll get figured out indeed, possibly in said comics. They would be the most colorful epic comics ever, of course. (And you know, AUs. AUs.)
