Hey gurl heeeey

Let's first start off with the fact that Nina's the closest thing ??? has to a family, even if he doesn't think about the concept of a family very often. He treats her like a sister and a close friend. OOCly, I think the best scene that underlines their brother-sister relationship was after ??? woke up from his fight with Lea + canon update, and she told him that he should have come to her instead if Lea was bothering him & she'd talk to Lea. It was adorable even if ??? was still a little cranky at the time. He doesn't take well to being told to not hold his ground. But with the nightmares, ??? understands why Nina is so protective of him now and that it really does bother her that he'll disappear. \

He... really doesn't want her to get her hopes up though. He doesn't want to bring them down either. Right when he's at the point that he's slowly trying to cope with the idea that he doesn't have much of a future after Asgard. A much as he believes it's something he can't avoid, HE ACTUALLY ISN'T HAPPY WITH IT. With is something that's hard to deal with, but it's also something he doesn't feel he could share with Nina. Kind of like why he secretly decided to move to Odin to begin with. It's easier for him to cope and prepare in his own way.

Besides the seriously depressing stuff, Nina's always been the part of his life that's more or less normal compared to what he would have. (He probably wouldn't be as sociable as he is now.) He's also her secretly horrible manager-person. He'd offer to be her personal bodyguard too if the need ever arose. Not that he wouldn't be incredibly protective of her already...as seen by his internal flipping out at her curse.
