Nina adores ???; he's family to her, such a wonderful brother, and one of the most important people to her in Asgard. He cares about her, is always there when she needs him, and is adorable when he's embarrassed. Also, she's so proud that he's making more friends!
In a sense, he reminds her of Johan: not bothered by the idea that he's "nameless," accepting of his fate, and overly protective at times. However, of course, he has much better morals than her brother, which she appreciates, to say the least. Subconsciously, she feels that she can have the opportunity for a sibling relationship that she never could have with Johan. Similar to a second chance.
At the same time, she knows that ??? tends to have darker impulses, can be prone to violence, etc. She wants to help him with that because she can relate to those emotions. However, she doesn't want to be overbearing either and push him away. She's trying to find the delicate balance between showing her disapproval of some of his decisions (overuse of his telepathy, plus the other stuff she doesn't know about, haha) and not causing him to feel that he needs to hide information from her. Even if she's anxious about or disappointed in some of his choices, she wants him to be honest and open with her and to know that she'll always care about him.
She also doesn't know how to convince him to have more hope for his future. Honestly, she can't give up on the thought that they can change his fate, even when everything tells her otherwise. Imagining a world where he disappears is too sorrowful for her to handle. :(
