THE TEST DRIVE MEME

OPTIONAL SCENARIO: After your character receives his or her bracelet and the run-down from the faceless maids in the castle, they walk out into the city to find it in a caught in a series of small earthquakes. They are neither consistent nor severe, but quiet tremors seem to have been shaking the city all day. Some are spaced minutes apart, while the city rests for hours between others. While there seems to be no serious structural damage, some of the city's Natives can be found outside, trying to reinforce windows and right their overturned chairs and tables. Watch your step, or maybe even try to help out - they look like they'd appreciate it! Make sure to have fun, and as always, feel free to hit the mods or players up with any questions you might have! ♥

[Stefan has been here all of a month. He ... is not much better off than Caroline, the only difference being he only knows how to handle ... two of those things.

Caroline, you are far more prepared than he is right now.

All the same, when he sees her he can't help but come to a stop.]

Stefan! [She says his name even before she turns around, because who else would have that sort of tone when questioning his own vision? Obviously. Her first instinct is to smile, but then she's forcing that frown back onto her features.]

Why are you here? Did they try to sell you on that whole 'the world could end' thing, because I tried to explain to them that it happens all the time, but they weren't listening.

[Stefan smirks a bit at that before nodding.]

Yeah, they did. But the war stuff is real.

[And kind of scary.]

Are you okay? I know landing here can be rough.

I'm fine. [She looks at him. Really looks at him.]

Are you fine?

[He gives a bit of a shrug.]

I've had time to adjust. I've been here almost a month now.

[There's a beat.]

Though I know getting here can be a little weird. Are you sure you're okay?

[Which is Stefan for "have you noticed you're not a vampire anymore?"]
